The shop is a little bit expensive but the goods are gorgeous of hand made.

I recommend a sunday stroll around to see the flora and fauna and then a hot chocolate in the tea room. Bliss!! As well as the Tea Rooms there is also the House itself. Rozelle House is a display venue for artists as well as holding art classes and workshops. Rozelle House houses the Museum of Ayrshire Yeomanry which is well worth a visit. Attached to the House are the MaClaurin Galleries which hold collections of artwork including paintings, drawings and skulptures.

It was doing a good trade whilst we were sat watching the world go by on the windswept promenade. A couple of weekend staff were employed in addition to the main person, which was good to see as you often expect seaside places to be doing less well these days.

Stopped in here to ask for a plastic fork for our food that my husband had bought for us from here…read moreearlier and as soon as I step foot in this place all the staff were not welcoming or friendly at all. An elderly dark haired woman finally asked if she could help (in a begrudgingly kind of way, almost like a what do you want kind of attitude) and when I asked if they had a plastic fork, she turned around and said a sharp, "no sorry" I looked at a young girl behind the counter who looked a little shocked (it's a cafe on a beach, I really doubt they don't have plastic cutlery) so I just left without saying anything. I'll never step foot in that place again & I'm making sure to tell everyone I know, friends & family visiting, to not buy a single thing from there. There's a news agents behind it that have ice cream and such or we will simply bring our own food or go to a different part of the beach. Being kind and offering decent customer service isn't that hard & this lady was just plain unpleasant. She shouldn't be working with people if she has that much of a nasty attitude.

I came across the beach cafe by surprise, as l didn't even know it was here, I enquirer on what lunches they did, but sadly the day of lunches are long gone, all that they did was tea/coffee & biscuits and tray bakes. This is a place that you must put on your must go to list, looked right out of a film set as if time had stopped. I got talking to the lady that owned the shop who said that it has been in her family since the 1930's and it was only herself that worked the cafe now. Was well worth visiting here for the nice cup of coffee & chat. Will be back again to visit soon.
