I came across the beach cafe by surprise, as l didn't even know it was here, I enquirer on what lunches they did, but sadly the day of lunches are long gone, all that they did was tea/coffee & biscuits and tray bakes. This is a place that you must put on your must go to list, looked right out of a film set as if time had stopped. I got talking to the lady that owned the shop who said that it has been in her family since the 1930's and it was only herself that worked the cafe now. Was well worth visiting here for the nice cup of coffee & chat. Will be back again to visit soon.

While walking through the town I saw this new place, well it was new to me having only opened last August. For a newish sort of place I sure got that old school feel from everything, from the homemade cake display to the staff uniform was old school, a little like the Waverly tearooms. The tables where pre set for diners to sit at that consisted of vintage cutlery to the old 1930's paragon tea set. Staff where great & welcoming I would definitely be be back & highly recommend this tearoom

I've often said that there are not enough of these sort of places in this area to go to for breakfast, lunch or even just a snack. This is just a small cafe but still has plenty character left, it's good to see a place with a display of their cakes and snacks on show just to tempt you to buy. When I'm here I like to grab a breakfast roll with a coffee, and grab a juice for my way out and the price usually comes to around the £5 mark, that's pretty good value.

Table was still full of last customers plates and cups when we sat down, and sat so long we actually moved them ourselves. Had a latte which was lovely & they had a huge selection of delicious flavours such as white chocolate, honeycomb and tiramisu! I just had a plain though. I also had a cheese & onion panini with lentil soup. The soup was lovely and homemade - just the way I like lentil soup. The panini must have only seen the panini press as it was on our table in less than 5 minutes and the cheese was unmelted. Given we had 3 very hyperactive kids with us we ate it quickly and without complaint. Nice for a quick stop off if peckish at the beach!

There is hot and cold drinks available from a cappuccino and, iced slush. Food is basic from the usual hot dogs, chips with various toppings and a few frozen burgers. This is a really good place for cheap food and refreshments if you are ever on Troon beach, right behind the kiosk are the public toilets, with shower facilities. There are benches dotted all around the building if you don't fancy eating on the beach.

Atmosphere This is a great place but has the feeling of a bed and breakfast or guest house to it than a tearoom, staff are friendly and nice enough but the place feels dark with the colour schemes dark walls & furniture. Food Home made soups, full breakfast's, filled rolls, sandwiches but there is also a selection of home baking available especially scones that are baked daily . A good place to stop by for a full breakfast or light lunch time snack.
