What I liked about Silver Streak was the moments he captured and how beautifully he put them to music. Then, I saw the price and I was like wow, one of the ones that I like the most is actually the most reasonable for a change. I thought that everything would go beautifully. Unfortunately, that is not how things went down. Jason, the videographer for my wedding, did a great job of being invisible. He captured all of the key moments. I felt like some of the decor shots could have been better but, overall, I was very pleased with what he captured. While the moments captured were nice, the quality was questionable. Even the website sample films looked grayed out and fuzzy. I noticed this, but I put it to the back of my mind in my pre-wedding euphoria. In retrospect, the video quality is not professional at all--the color is dark, there is a persistent gray haze and fuzziness over everything, even in bright sunlight. This is a question of equipment quality, which no amount of editing will fix. I would not make the same decision again based on this alone. Don't believe me? Look at his sample videos side-by-side with those of another videographer, and you'll see it. This is the HD age, and the videos do not even look as good as what you might get from still images from a cell phone. The problems came during the editing phase. I was well aware of the contract policy--1 hour of free revision, $50/hour subsequently. I don't expect anyone to work for free. Time is money. Well, ever notice how Silver Streak is the only one charging more for full-length videos than highlights. How does this make sense? The by-the-hour pricing is completely abused from the time you get your first cut. This way, the final price of the highlights video comes out to around the same as the full-length or more. Why so many edits? You tell me. My ceremony was well under an hour, yet the unity candle ceremony was not in my highlights video. We only had 7 people in our bridal party, yet not all of them appeared in the video. My brother escorting my mom down the aisle was absent. What was there were 3 shots of the cake table, 2 or 3 shots of the table décor, and a horrific clip of my dress hanging lifelessly in front of what looked like the door to a preschool classroom. The father-daughter dance clip was two seconds, none of it with my dad dipping me or spinning me, and he did an awesome job of making his dance very cinematic. It was fun, not just dancing around in a boring, endless circle. Why were these things curiously absent? It's elementary, you see--remember the $50/hour charge. Mike was not trustworthy in the end. He left out key moments intentionally, forcing you to buy more revision time. That is the story behind those videos that you do not see. Unfortunately, he was just out to take advantage of the wedding euphoria. You want the perfect video and you'll pay for it, whatever the cost. read more

Mike and his team did an excellent job shooting and editing the video of my daughter's wedding. They coordinated well with the photographers on scene and the drone shots they took were fantastic! His editing skills are very good, with smooth transitions and pacing, the music he chose worked well, he made excellent color corrections, and the audio track was moderated well. My only criticism was with his choice of clips selected. Key family members were omitted in the 1st draft of the highlight video, which had to be corrected in post. I notice this was a problem for another reviewer as well. Overall, we were quite pleased and would highly recommend Ike and his team! read more

Mike and his team at Silver Streak were amazing at capturing the magic of our wedding day! From start to finish, Mike was super helpful and always responsive (even when I wasn't!). He does a really good job of gathering all the info and highlights of the day you want to capture and it shows in the final product. Our highlight and full-length film were so wonderful and we could not have been more happy with the outcome. They also did a great job working with our photographers and with not being in the way or imposing during the wedding. Mike did a video that we used at my work for marketing purposes. I really appreciate his dedication the day of, and the final product that we got. He did a mix of still photos, videos, and text, and made it all fit together seamlessly and professionally. He double-checked info and he was accurate with matching everything (voiceover with photos and videos) the way we asked him to. The day of the shoot, he was very flexible with having to shoot at multiple locations and also he didn't complain about the heat once (I was dying!! I don't know how he did it) His assistant was helpful and both Mike and his assistant did a great job working with the students we videoed. I would use him again for any video projects. Silver Streak Media was our choice for videographers for a UVA Health System online project. We had spent over a month looking for the perfect match and were so pleased when we came across Silver Streak Media. I had never taken on anything like this before and was so pleased how Mike was patient while I and a coworker explained our goals for this project. There were so many little details that we never would have thought of that Mike brought up and helped us reason through. This project was several months in the making, but all along the way Mike was very helpful and patient as we had to shoot retake after retake! He was also a master at editing out our goof-ups...it was amazing what he could cover up!! We are finally ready to kick off our project this week and everything really turned out better than we hoped. I would definitely use Mike again and I found his professionalism spot on....he was always clear in his pricing structure and those prices were competitive and when we came in under budget he adjusted his pricing accordingly. But what I found to be the most helpful was his easy nature that made being in front of the camera a pleasant experience. We are so grateful for Mike and his team for doing an incredible job of capturing the most special moments of our day! We weren't sure if a video was in the budget but hiring Silver Streak was one of our best decisions (and after doing the research, Mike was really reasonably priced). The short video was so special and Mike was incredibly flexible with tweaking it so that our especially long vows fit and flowed. After seeing the longer video, it was even more apparent how well edited our short video was! Mike has incredible attention to detail and really listened to the things that were important for us to have in our video and others that weren't. Mike is also really professional - his team was in all the right places during the wedding but didn't take anything away from anyone that day (i.e. blocking guests' views or holding up the timeline). He worked well with our photographer and captured some great footage we were able to request as stills. Mike's responses were always prompt and he answered any questions that came up before and after the wedding quickly and honestly. Our day flew by SO fast so it was awesome to have these memories to watch and share with family and friends. read more
