The Fresh Market is a supermarket geared more towards a higher end experience, more of a food destination type foodie-driven kind of place and their prices reflect that (although they will run sales). This new business replaced the Happy Harbor store that closed over two years ago. It's on County Road 6 just north of the Co Rd 4 intersection. It's at the same physical location as a planned marina and planned restaurant. Oyster Bay Market is on the upper level and the neighborhood's only convenience store. While they were still in the process of ramping up with some empty spaces inside in my first visit they told me that as of next week, 7/12/21, they will be open full-time and stocked with wine, beer, tobacco, drink, snacks and snacks and more. They've got ice, groceries, bbq supplies and even some beach supplies and it will be interesting to see just how much stuff they'll be making available as they grow. Bottom line: The nearest convenience store is 5 miles away and this location will serve all of Plash Island and a lot of residences on the intercoastal waterway, the bays and the Bon Secour river, a welcomed community addition.
