I only saw Dr. Shiphra Bakhchi for a few months before realizing how horrible of a therapist she is. It's very concerning that someone so self-motivated could be in a profession built on empathy and trust. For someone who is paid to listen and support, her lack of focus and basic courtesy is unsettling. She was frequently late- once by 15 minutes, and I watched her walk another client out before beginning my appointment. Despite starting late, she never once offered to make up the time. During our virtual sessions, she was visibly distracted, often reading something else on her screen and barely acknowledging what I said. There were long, uncomfortable silences where she didn't seem to realize I had finished speaking, walking around her house, getting ready to leave, etc. I'm a master's-educated woman who knows insincere when I see it. It's hard to comprehend how a therapist can take people's money while giving so little in return- making patients feel like their deepest, most personal struggles don't matter or even deserve to be heard. She made me feel dismissed, unimportant, and even foolish for trying to seek help. As a young adult with family and childhood trauma, I took a vulnerable step in starting therapy again after 10 years, believing it would be a positive investment in myself. Instead, this experience made the idea of seeking help feel discouraging and unsafe. Therapists should never make their clients feel unheard or insignificant, yet Dr. Bakhchi's conduct did exactly that.

I have NEVER left a review for a medical professional of any sort before, but I am telling you, do not use this woman. There are so many other therapists in this city who are also doctors. Don't do it to yourself. Dr. Bakhchi was often late to our appointments and was either walking out a client or had a fresh iced coffee in her hand when she came to greet me. I understand that sessions can run long and providers can get behind, but this was every single time. I only saw her for maybe 6 weeks before realizing my mental health was actually better without seeing her. During the sessions, she would seem distracted, often texting or scrolling on her phone. One time, she asked me a question that had crucial facts wrong in the story I had just told her, and that's when I realized that my suspicions of her truly not listening to me were true. Another time, she legitimately asked me, "How do you want me to help with that?" in reference to opening up about not knowing how to handle my emotions in a situation. Like, I don't know?? That's why I'm paying you to help me figure it out??? The last straw was when I lost my job, so my insurance situation was uncertain. I told her that I wanted to try to find a plan with the same company so that I could still see her, but the moment she thought there may be even a chance that she wouldn't be able to get money out of me long-term, she stopped caring. My last session with her was 15 minutes, but I was still charged the full price. It was so short because she was 15 minutes late, but she cut off my appointment 15 minutes early. This was not a situation where there was nothing to talk about. I was actively trying to fight back tears while talking about a situation when she quickly wrapped up the session and told me to keep her updated on the insurance situation. The LAST thing that this woman did that truly makes me want to report her to the medical board is that she charged me a $200 late fee AND the copay for an appointment that I attended. When I tried to get in contact with her about this, she avoided the question and only paid me back after I continued to press her. She ended up giving me the money through Venmo which I thought was weird, but I was so exhausted with arguing with her and her feined confusion that I didn't care as long as I had the money back. I'm actually realizing now that I think she still owes me $60 from charging me copays on days I didn't see her, but I guess that's just a wash now (and I guess she was able to collect the money from my insurance company which feels wrong but whatever). DO NOT SEE THIS WOMAN. Save yourself. I genuinely don't know how she has any good reviews here. She gives major high school mean girl vibes, and that's really not what I'm looking for in someone who is supposed to help me with my mental health, not harm it.

After going through the gamut of therapists without relief, we went to the Forest Ave location and met Moe. He was wonderful. He was all hands on-not using weights or exercise equipment but his gifted hands and gave us both a therapeutic treatment. He was not in a rush and made sure that all our pain had dissipated. He knows how to conduct a session and made us feel like his only two patients. If it weren't for Moe,we would have consulted another practice.I felt much better after this session and am ecstatic that I found this wonderful physical therapist that really knows how to alleviate pain and took his time. Received there voice message same time while I was going downstairs in there facility that I should reschedule with other therapist at 4.pm . They refused to take me , I waited there for one hour. As I do not drive my husband drop me and pick me after 50 mins . I told them it is not possible for me to come back at 4pm and when there grace period change from 15 mins to 5 mins. It should be mention upfront while making appointments like other notes about cancellation fees extra mentioned on wall at reception. They should call me ahead of time for reschedule if there therapist is busy . They have no understanding how difficult it is to manage to go to there facility with bone in bone inflammation and pain . How patient arrange for their appointments. I need to know what was there grace policy before and did they change it today from 15 mins to 5 minutes . And when they informed patients about it .
