I made a snap decision on a shingle color from a small sample while talking to the TLC rep for ten minutes and have regretted that decision ever since. The TLC rep made no mention of researching the color selection so it is up to the customer to do so. To be fair the roof job went very well. All of the TLC employees were friendly, professional & showed good workmanship. I would recommend TLC to anyone but would caution them on their shingle color selection.

The slate ripped some screens and even broke a window. I called them several times and they said they would investigate and call me back. NEVER called back. The last time I called they claimed they didn't do it. Bits of slate are imbedded all throughout my wood siding. Let me tell you - Buxton Roofing deserves your business. I woke up last night, and realized it was because I heard a slow but steady dripping sound. I traced the sound to the wall beside my bedroom door, and as I put my ear to the wall, I got hit with a drop of water. Somehow, there was a leak in my roof (of a 14 year old house) that had soaked the drywall through, enough to cause water to drip into the house. I called Buxton Roofing as soon as I got to work, and they said they'd have a service tech call me within the hour. The call came within 15 mins., and we agreed upon a time for the service call. John was there ahead of schedule. He crawled up in the attic to locate the source of the leak, then was up on the roof fixing it. Total time = 1/2 hour. I can't say they'll always be that fast, but this was my (very appreciated) experience. Two thumbs up. :)

I called Tony and he arrived on Sunday to assess the damage and give me a quote for repair. He secured the roof with sheeting and tarp until we could replace with new roof.
