SILVERSCRIPT ENGAGES IN PRACTICING MEDICINE WITHOUT A LICENSE. As a senior citizen with Type A influenza and asthma, the physician prescribed Albuterol Solution for my nebulizer. That's what the physician prescribed and that's what I needed. Apparently due to shortages Silverscript is discouraging patient's from using Albuterol in a nebulizer. Funny, I rather depend on my lungs to BREATHE ... WOW, I demanded the medication and paid cash. It appears SilverScript thinks they're immune to wrongful death lawsuits. BIG FAT 0 or Zero for Aetna silver script part D. Suddenly refusing to pay for Ativan ordered to treat severe anxiety. Per letter received by insured dated 6/09/26, based on information from my doctor, the drug Lorazepam would be covered until 06/27 with the following rules: remain enrolled in their plan, medication be prescribed and medication "continues to be SAFE for treating my condition." On 6/16, Aetna refused to pay for the drug. Upon calling Aetna, Refusal to continue to cover was based upon "their" "pharmacist's" decision it was unsafe for me to take. My doctor was overridden by the Aetna insurance's "pharmacist." It is in the best interest of Aetna to refuse to pay for drugs. It is NOT in my interest for Aetna to refuse to cover a needed medication prescribed by MY doctor. Aetna is a for profit company. Refusing to cover medications to protect my safety is a pretense for refusing to pay. My doctor is very concerned about my health, welfare and safety. I am very concerned for my safety and never had any issue with ANY insurer trying to control what medications are prescribed. Aetna's alleged "concern" for my safety is simply an excuse for this insurer to exert control over patients, doctors and force insureds to pay for covered drugs and increase corporate profits. Aetna is a a BAD, heartless, for profit corporation. Rise up and abandon this company! I trust my doctor and myself regarding my medications. I do not TRUST an insurer who lies. My Rx cost less than $25.00 pr mo while charging me OVER $90.00 pr mo. Silverscript and the United States Social Security Administration believes in locking the consumers into a completely arbitrary time line for enrollment and unenrollment for their services for the purpose of keeping your money and denying you the opportunity for freedom to change your mind and finding a plan that fits you better. They can't stand up to the competition so they continue to grab your money until the arbitrary time line expires in the pretence of freedom of choice. I got involved with this company unintentionally by way of their marketing scheme that required me to respond to them, rejecting their offer rather than the normal legal process of offer and acceptance. It came at a time when I was between residences and my mail got forwarded twice along with a flood of other offers for privatized healthcare plans. Lucky for me, the FEHB insuror I'd had for 50 years set up their agreement with this company such that I was able to cancel as soon as I'd learned what was going on. They were charging me a late enrollment fee that amounted to $1300 a year for my wife and me for the same coverage I'd been getting for 50 years, bundled with my FEHB healthcare plan. It took a lot of study and telephone time to fully figure out what they were doing to me, the administrative jargon, and what forms I had to file to undo it. I got no response to a letter I sent them pleading for mercy. Last I heard they were still trying to collect $171 from me for a few $12 prescriptions I got while I was in their plan. I would advise anyone to avoid privatized plans like this one or any of the other "medicare advantage" plans because they're designed to operate at a profit while the government-run Medicare program is non-profit. The profit comes out of our pockets, part directly from enrollees like they were doing to me and to others as another add-on called "IRMAA," and part from tax dollars the government pays them to run the plan. I don't mind that real healthcare professionals make a handsome living for their hard work and training, but I find the idea of ordinary businessmen making a fat profit off of their neighbors' ailments offensive and un-American. read more

Signed up for SiverScript a couple of years ago because is was less than $8.00 a month and I have no prescription needs. After the first year they raised the price to $12.40 a month. This year they jumped it up to $47.40 a month. To make it worse then didn't let us know about the increase until after it was too late to change to other coverage. Pure ripoff. zero stars! When I I was was no copayment no out-of-pocket no deductible no maximum or minimum amount that I had to spend and no premium! This was on a recorded line. I wouldn't have signed had a premium. 16 months later they decide I haven't been paying them $17 a month so they just in the middle of the month. I find out when I need my prescriptions that life sustaining! Until this was settled, they wouldn't accept a payment option and wanted everything in full, but I'm on Medicare Medicaid and extra help and they are too poor to pay a year and a half I shouldn't have to pay in one lump sum! So then they put me on the phone with new enrollment guy who says the same thing no premiums so I agree and he says it'll start July 1. I get a letter in the mail that says there's a $66 premium. I spent over 2 1/2 hours on the phone back-and-forth with these Numbskulls! So now I did offer to give them some money but they insisted that I pay them upfront for the year that I premium just like they said on a recorded line to me five times last week that there would be no premium. And then they send me a letter that says there's a $66 premium. So now they're gonna lose whatever money they get from having me as one of their / and I'm never gonna give them $208! I am not the type of person to flip out and go do anything crazy but this is the kind of nonsense that will set a crazy person off to go and kill somebody like CEO of United healthcare. Why don't these people pay attention? They gave me so much misinformation in the last week and a half on recorded lines that if they ever tried to it would be laughable. The people they have on the phone are working from home with roosters growing in the background. Do not ever use this company. They suck in the words of our great President who on air in front of all the children and people in the " they don't know what the F they're "doing! And I don't effing like it! I have confirmed that the monthly premium is going up from $9.90 to $44.90 in 2025. The deductible will jump from $280 to $590 per month. You will also see an increase in your cost on tier 1,2, and 3 drugs. For myself in 2024 Silver script paid ZERO on the few medications my Dr has ordered. For myself and probably for others, this significant increase is not worth it. I also found I would pay less on some things by using Sams Club, then I would have if Silver script covered it. I really do hope consumers are made aware of this hefty premium increase in 2025. read more

Worst customer service in about forever. Abysmal. All I needed to do was update the exp date on my card, the one that pays my premiums. It took 8 phone calls with 8 different representatives to find a one who could definitively tell me that that updates (online or by phone) can't be made until 2025. How much fun is that?? I happened to go to the Medicare website because I wanted to check if my request to cancel my Part B went through and noticed that I was signed up with SilverScript drug plan. I called SilverScript to opt out and was told that I had to call back on Monday to speak to an accounts department. That department said they don't cancel plans, I need to call EUTF. EUTF says they don't cancel plans, I need to contact SilverScript. It went back and forth for over a week. Then, EUTF sends me an email saying I may have been automatically enrolled in SilverScript for not indicating whether I wanted to enroll in a drug plan so I can appeal the decision. I spoke to Marion of EUTF and he told me they don't handle opting out so what he can do is send SilverScript a message telling them I want to opt out. I kept trying to find a way to opt out and finally called EUTF back and got the same person. He said I see that I already sent SilverScript a message but they didn't respond. OMG!!!!! read more
