I'm not a fan of asking "how much is this?" each time I see a piece that interests me. But I was quickly won over by the owner's friendly, hospitable and inviting demeanor. He explained that there is so much turnover in inventory, and so much of it, that it's a challenge to price everything quickly. Ok, cool! Doubt alleviated! As we ventured more deeply into this cavern filled with treasures, we discovered lots of cool pieces that struck a chord! The shadow box filled with badges and medals was alluring, and the sports memorabilia piqued my nephew's interest. The furniture was fabulous, many one-of-a-kind pieces that would surely add flair to any décor. There's also a case of figurines and knick knacks that would make cool conversation pieces. Another large display case held teapots, teacups & retro kitchenware. Everything was well appointed with little vignettes hither and thither on every table and shelf. We were quite mesmerized by the place. It was clean, well organized and intriguing. My daughter gathered several copper pots and containers for her collection, as well as an unusual brass unicorn spigot/faucet that was delightful! My niece perused the aisles while my sis-in-law and I spied the jewelry cases! I found some sterling silver & turquoise earrings along with a unique kite brooch of onyx and mother of pearl. Sis found a dainty pearl necklace, a strand of long cultured pearls, & a pretty pair of vintage cameo earrings. I loved Steve's willingness to wheel & deal and he made our day!! The prices didn't put a strain on our purses!! We left this shop chattering about what a fun experience it was to enter this enchanting establishment! I dare you to leave empty handed!

Silver City Electric - in cabinet and under cabinet lighting

    Silver City Electric

I recently had a very positive experience with Silver City Electric. There were a number of outlets…read morein our kitchen that weren't working properly. Kevin returned my call very promptly when I reached out. Since he was already working in town, he was able to swing by the same day. After explaining my issue, Kevin got to work diagnosing the problem. He found the culprit, a poorly wired outlet, within a matter of minutes. Kevin rewired the outlet correctly, installed a new outlet and ensured it was flush mounted; previously, it had not been. He stayed around for a bit and ensured all the other outlets worked and had the correct voltage. This repair gave us back the functionality of the majority of the outlets in our kitchen. I can't say enough about the level of service Kevin provided. He was timely, professional, personable and clean. He charged a very fair price for the work he did. I highly recommend calling him for electrical work. We plan on utilizing his services in the future.

Kevin is honestly the best electrician I have ever hired. I've only ever hired one other guy, but…read moreI'll tell you what, I don't even remember the name of his business, and I certainly didn't bother to leave him a review. I mean, the other guy was good; he did what I hired him to do. No complaints. But Kevin, damn. Kevin is incredible. I don't know how to explain it. Just hire him for something electricity-related, and you'll see what I'm talking about. The guy is a master. Actually, I think he literally is a Master Electrician. He really knows his wires. Kevin installed six new recessed can lights in a room in my 1860 farm house. Before Kevin's handy work, the room was dark and depressing. No one ever wanted to be in there. You just felt lonely and sad in there. But now, with the new lighting Kevin installed, when you're in that room, you feel like a happy daisy in the middle of a warm, sunny Spring day. But only if the lights are turned on. | Hire Kevin for all your electrical needs. You won't be disappointed.

The plow comes through and blocks all the cars in. Elderly and Hadi capped residents are expected to shovel around and behind their cars. Or have to pay someone to do it for them. The person that is supposed to clean the buildings is always on the phone and does a horrible job at vacuuming and washing the floors. No attention to detail. Washers & dryers are constantly out of order. The management office tells people to contact the company that provides the washers/dryers. The contract is between the washing machine company and Carabetta. Why do residents have to call? Even after reporting problems to the providing company it takes month for washer and/or dryer to be replaced. There are dead trees on the property that need attention. Lawn and garden maintenance is nearly nonexistent except for the company that cuts the grass. Picnic tables are placed outside people's bedroom window. When residents asked if they could be moved the answer was "we've never done that before" When a large group of people are sitting outside (and grilling food) your bedroom window for hours your privacy feels invaded. Fencing up near the bocce courts is falling down, there is a bridge that's blocked off because its broken. Why not fix the bridge or put up a secure barrier? Remember this is a senior apartment complex. The carpeting and flooring are the cheapest you can get. The sub floor is uneven, and you can feel the dips under the carpet, A hazard to an elderly person. The only time there is any REAL maintenance activity is when a HUD inspection is about to happen.
