They didn't finish half the items on the list to clean (such as kitchen cabinets and vents) even though these items were stated in the service agreement. They left dust balls everywhere. It it absolutely filthy (pictures of how they left my vents and cabinets attached). When I raised the issue with them, they said these were stains that couldn't be removed, but I wet one paper towel with water and was able to remove all the dust and stains. It's clear they didn't even try. They sent their team TWO times and their team rushed through and didn't clean most items, and when I flagged more spots that were left dirty, they asked to send their team a third time... absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea how they have 4.5 stars here. Do yourself a favor and go with another company. Merry Maids's customer service and quality of work is very poor and not worth the money whatsoever.

The appointment was made as usual and they arrived to perform the job (w/o owner). During the cleaning, I got a call from the owner asking if I was getting a deep clean to which my response was no. She did not say that I was supposed to pay more or because of the gap of two months that the cleaning is now considered a deep cleaning. Nor did she define what that entails. I guess the inquiry came because one of her employees complained... I dont know. I asked the employees did they think they were doing a deep clean and they said no. Also they didn't clean one of the bedrooms (which I generally tell them not to but I still pay the same rate). I did not think that I was asking for too much to be done, I thought no more of it. Afterwards, I paid for services rendered at the agreed price for my size home and rooms. Fast forward to the next month, I had not heard back from them and I reached out to confirm the upcoming appointment. I was told by text that she would no longer clean my house because I received a deep clean and I only paid the regular rate. She did not think that that was fair. I was totally at wits end because I had no clue. I would have appreciated being told that I was to pay extra at the time of service and/or the option to discuss the matter but instead when I tried to contact them several times by call and text, they would not answer the phone. I am a big communicator and believe any situation can be resolved with discussion, not being passive-aggressive and ignoring. I cannot appreciate her calling my integrity into question by stating that I did not pay the correct price. However, if I was to pay more, I would've liked to have known how much. I would've much preferred a courtesy call to discuss the matter and possibly resolve. I don't think this was very professional.
