Extremely disappointing experience I would not recommend this inspector…read more I rarely take the time to write a negative review, but this experience was bad enough that I feel other homeowners should know what to expect. From the beginning, the service was extremely frustrating. My inspection was rescheduled multiple times, and calls and emails were repeatedly left unanswered. I even contacted Chantal, the assistant, hoping to get some communication and assistance, but the response and follow-up were also extremely poor. At my PDI inspection, I was shocked to find myself pointing out issues to the inspector that I expected a professional home inspector to identify. If I hadn't pointed these items out myself, they would not have been documented. I was also told that the one-year inspection was more important and that I shouldn't worry too much about the PDI. Unfortunately, the one-year inspection was even more disappointing. After being rescheduled at least twice, the inspector arrived and was gone in less than 15 minutes. This was supposed to be a thorough one-year inspection. Instead, once again, I had to walk around and point out the issues I had personally noticed before they were even added to the inspection notes. I purchased the full-service package, expecting professional inspections, attention to detail, proper documentation, and reliable support throughout the process. Based on my experience, I received none of that to an acceptable standard. The poor communication and lack of follow-up also resulted in me missing my deadline to submit my report to Tarion for my one-year warranty. That is particularly frustrating when I had paid for a service that I expected would help me navigate this process properly. In my opinion, the biggest problem wasn't simply one bad inspection. It was the overall lack of service before, during, and after the inspections. I could not rely on the inspector, and I could not rely on the assistant to get answers or follow up when needed. For anyone considering using this company, do your due diligence before making your decision. Don't simply look at the package being offered ask questions about communication, scheduling, what is actually included, and what kind of follow-up you can expect. I paid for the full-service package and, based on my experience, I regret spending the money and I regret choosing this inspector. I would not use this inspector again, and I would not recommend him to other homeowners.

Josh worked with me to find the right wood in my price. Josh came to my work to provide me with samples, was available for my questions by phone or text and made sure he know what I wanted. He is not the cheapest in Ottawa but is still well priced. That being said the difference in the quality of the work his team does is quite large. All transitions where done cleanly. Attention to detail on the part of the installers was great, from making sure the quarter round the installed was caulked to filling in the nail holes, to the vent cuts. The team put in the time to screw in the sub floor as they went to ensure a quite floor. The hardwood installed was beautiful and the selection's offered where high quality. The team itself was amazing as well, very respectful of my house, they came and left a clean space. They worked hard and were surprisingly fast and completing the job, our 2nd floor of about 700 sq ft was done in a day. If you want a quality job that will last you, look no further.

This business was sent in from our insurance company after making a claim and I was really surprised with their knowledge and quality of work. I guess they must be good if an insurance company is recommending them. Firstly, they pointed out the flooring that we had installed by Argos, and noted that it was not suitable for our condo and that it should never had been put in in the first place. In fact, I had problems from day one with my laminate purchased from Argos. They fixed a lot of the mistakes that were done by the previous installer. This review is not to bash Argo's, but I learnt a home owners lesson; ask a lot of questions about products before you get them installed!!! The whole process was quick and painless, and they helped move furniture around in our very small apartment! I could not be happier! I have attached a picture of the new floors, and of course, had to include my dog in the picture too! :)

I am SO happy that Corey has been SO good to everyone…read more THAT has NOT been MY experience. He ghosted us for 6 months over a start date. Then he showed up when we were looking for another roofer because Corey did not communicate with us for months, even though we tried to communicate with him. We left VM's and sent emails and nothing for 6 months. Our roof did leak over the winter, we hired Corey because he said he would get it done before the winter. We hired him in September of 2025 of a job to start at he end of October beginning of November he said. He called us, after all that time of ghosting us, in June of 2026. 7 months after he said he would start the job. So, he lied about the start date and the fact he could get the job done before winter. Had I known I would have gone up and done some patches myself but I am old so, I stupidly waited for him, trusting him to keep to his word and the contract, until it was just too late--we had 36 cm of snow so, I said to my wife, "Well I guess we're gonna have a leak upstairs this year." Of course, we did. More clean up and drywall repair. Thanks Corey. My son wants me to be reasonable with Corey and Aquila. I am done with all that. Being reasonable is getting us no where with Aquila. We need to be unreasonable for a month or so and then sue his ass when he doesn't come. I truly believe he won't come. He has made more than a few promises about start dates, arrivals, promises and assurances and all for nothing-we STILL have the leaky roof over the winter, we still have a leaking roof NOW after he's done his work so I am so close to calling a lawyer now, I am 99.9% done with Corey. He has a 1% chance to come make this right or fuck him I sue his ass. I have proof of everything, I keep a very, very clear paper trail. This is not my first fucking rodeo! My garden equipment and my spare wood has all been ruined by water now. Thanks Corey. Will you be paying for all that Oak and Maple also? Aquila told us in September the job would be done before the winter…read more We were worried about leaks on our old metal roof. Aquila did not come before winter and in fact they ghosted us until February of the following year. I tried dozens of times to each Corey over 3-4 months and he ghosted us. We WERE reaching him, he just wasn't responding. I sent emails and called him and left messages on his VM so his excuse of oh my email wasn't working was a fucking out right lie. I did not tell him I tried calling him like 800 times and left message asking him to return my call about 800 times-he already knew that anyways and he was just lying to me at this point anyways so why bother wasting my breathe? SO, he cam in June to do the job., He was supposed to be there at the end of October the year previously - that's the date we made which he ghosted us on--I mean he didn't return ANY communications whatsoever--we were looking for another roofing company when he called an said he as coming to start the job in a few days--I was shocked--I tried contacting him for 6 fucking months and nothing and just out of the blue he calls and says her is coming--I SHOULD have, in hindsight, told him to go fuck himself but I said OK come and do the the job - I was stupid, stupid,stupid!!! e He did the main house roof and all is well so far. HOWEVER, he also did my shed roof, it is an odd angled roof and I had a roofer in the year before to do it and they did a fine job-cost me 8Grand..but they did not use any flashing on the odd angle and I wanted some flashing with some protection under the flashing like usual. SO, I asked Corey if he could do flashing on that angle - he said he could, and I promised I wasn't looking for a perfect job BECAUSE OF THE WEIRD angle I just wanted to have more protection than just shingles, so put some valley underlay (it's basically a roll of 8=10 inch wide shingles that you cut to length onsite and put in the valley's of where two roof sections meet and the flashing goes over that and then the shingles go over the flashing - I was a roofer in another life so I know this but am too old to do it myself) so, his guys fucked it all up..no flashing, no underlay shingles two 2-34 inch holes in the fucking roof that have let rain in three fucking times since he did my fucking roof and NOW he is ghosting me to come and repair the fucking damage--I paid in $22,000 and now he is ghosting me AGAIN. FUCK HIM THIS TIME-- I HAVE BEEN WAY MORE THAN FAIR AND PATIENT WITH HIM, HE has exactly until THIS fucking Friday to come fix this shit and I've told him that or lawyer it is. I am SO FUCKING TIRED OF CROOKED contractors promising the world and then ghosting you at the very,very first sign of trouble.
