She saw my first Yelp review and seemed sincerely concerned that I was upset as well as that it would reflect on her whole facility and the work she had been doing since she arrived in January. She sincerely defended the care they had given my husband. The nurse in residence had done her best I think. Jennifer also offered to call Frontier herself to do all she could do to correct the financial issue involved. A Place for Mom also responded on Friday and offered real help. So, my original review now seems less than fair and I apologize for that. I'm sorry it took the review to receive this support but it obviously made a difference. In my original review I think I gave credit to HomePlace for the satisfied residents they do have, which I hope showed fairness all along. I'm truly glad that Jennifer is trying to make things better.

I say this because my lab results sat on his desk for a week before he had the time to read them. I called daily, but it didn't inspire him to get to them any faster. He must be very busy. In terms of his communication style, I can't give high marks either. He cut me off in the middle of sentences numerous times. He got irritated because I took a pro-active approach and did my own research--his tone indicated his irritation, and he made several inappropriate comments. He did calm down after about 10 minutes and commended me on my ability to advocate for myself even though it was hard on him as the doctor. However, the damage was done, and I found myself not wanting to be forthright with him to avoid further conflict. And, finally, he was quick to sell me supplements--none of which actually worked for the symptoms I gave him, and one of them actually caused further distress to other conditions. I think, if he had listened more carefully to me or done testing first, rather than arbitrarily profiling me as a "type" he wouldn't have rushed to sell me the supplement that was contra-indicated. He might be really good at teaching. I don't have any experience with him in that regard. As a professional health consultant, he falls significantly short of the standard required to be effective.
