I requested they send an MRI scan completed four months ago to a provider who needed to review it but several calls over several days to the medical records number resulted in my leaving multiple voicemail messages. No live person ever picked up the call. No-one has returned the calls so it seems that this organization does not provide this service. I had my annual screening mammogram on March 17. I went to Simon med because its predecessor, AZ Women's Imaging , had my records. On March 17 I was told it would take about three weeks to get my results (which would be mailed to me). Three weeks came and went without any results. On April 22, my primary doc called to tell me the results were fine. I asked if they would mail me the report since I had never received it from Simon Med. My doc sent the results. Today, May 10, I got my results from Simon Med. The report was dated March 25, but not mailed until May 6. Never again will I go back there. Thankfully my results were fine and the two months delay didn't cause an issue. And do NOT get me started with the forms you have to fill out online when you make your appointment, then you have to fill them out again (on your phone) before you walk into the office the day of your appointment. This includes taking pics of your drivers license and orders for the mammogram. Then you walk in and have to produce the documents again because "the system doesn't always transmit the documents to the office." Never again. read more

This was my 2nd attempt at an MRI that I was needing to get done on my knee for what my doctor thinks is torn menicus. So i went to different location, still a SimonMed but the first one was not a pleasant experience to say the least. The gentlemen was not so gentle, empathetic or professional. So this location was quite busy and just an overall much MORE PLEASANT experience. I believe a young lady by the name of Peyton is who helped check me in. She was very professional and understanding that I was still quite nervous about the MRI. I guess I didn't know that I was claustrophobic until the 1st attempt. So when i went in to this location & explained this to Peyton, she must have passed this info to the tech who was such an angel. I can not make this up nor exaggerate on how zen Jaclyn was! From the very beginning as she introduced herself and greeted me stating that she was going to be just a few more minutes wrapping up her previous patient, through the duration of the entire appointment. She has such a beautiful calming tone of voice, that it truly was a breath of fresh air. Peyton assured me that she was taking me back just to get me prepared (changed into the appropriate gown) & that I was still able to take some time to prepare myself and also allow the sedation medication that the Dr had me take 1 hour prior to my appointment. I was just scared that it wouldn't work as the prior appt. To my surprise, not only did the medication help me BUT the tech that i was blessed with (Jaclyn) & also Peyton truly made it all possible. I was super grateful that it was nothing compared to the previous appt and location. I was speechless yet had so much gratitude, that once i was done with the MRI, I asked Jaclyn if i can please hug her, as i was just so incredibly thankful for her. Its not always just the medication of sedation that can make the procedure smooth. The tech has almost 80 percent to do with the entire visit. The tech, the amazing Peyton had absolutely everything to do with helping me accomplish a fear that I didn't even know existed in me. Thank you to those lovely girls! This place is aweful!! My Chiro wanted me to have an xray of low spine so they told me to go to Simon med on Orange Grove. They treated me like dirt!! I go last Monday and was told I could not get in that day due to no technition! I was told to come back at 130 but then they said "She will be be real busy when she gets here. So I thought ,I will try tomorrow". Wrong! I go by 10 and I am still sitting there at 1210 pm and nothing has happened. Other ppl were getting angry and leaving due to the wait time. Pleasant staff, short wait time and clean facility. My Doc got all the images he requested. Getting duplicates for an additional Doctor was some thing of a hassle because they won't print additional films they put them on a dvd but most offices don't have a way to read it. I received an order from Tucson Orthorpedics for an MRI at rad Limited but they were 10 days out. So I drove to Simon med in the morning of the following day and got an appointment for later that day in the afternoon. Wait time was barely 15 minutes after I arrived for a 2 o'clock appointment. The MRI results were sent along with the radiology report to Tucson Orthorpedics in two days. My appointment today to review the MRI went as planned with no complaints from the doctor on the quality of the image. It would have been nice to have the headphones playing music, but that was not an option and I survived. The front desk staff were very polite and efficient And even made a CD copy of the MRI for me to take home. I would definitely use Simon med should I need any other radiology services and I can say nothing negative about my experience. read more

My husband went into SimonMed for an MRI today. He is 78 years old and has been staying at home and social distancing, except for doctor's appointments. Up until today, he felt fairly comfortable at medical facilities; however, SimonMed was like no other. They did not have sanitizer on hand, they did not require patients to wear masks, there were no temperature checks before entering, no questions asked about travel or current health, and no seats were marked off inside. In addition, others were aloud to accompany patients, even though they had no appointment, which created more of a crowded waiting room. This facility serves mainly elderly people with underlying conditions. They need to bring their facility up to the standards required to enable those same people to feel safe. We won't be returning to SimonMed. Northwest Imaging has a topnotch operation in place to address all the areas mentioned above to prevent the spread of the coronavirus or other contagious conditions. Ask your doctor to make the change. read more

Terrible experience. I took my 85 year old father to get a DEXA test and an MRI. Right before the DEXA test he asked to use the restroom and the Tech rolled her eyes and exprieced she was very busy. I thought that was rude and unprofessional. Once done with DEXA test we waited for over 30 minutes in the dressing room for the MRI Tech. When no one showed up I walked up to the person at the front desk and asked what was taking so long? She then informed me that my father did not have an appointment for an MRI. I informed her I made the appointment myself so to check again. She then continued to tell be my father's appointment was cancelled because it was not authorised by insurance. I know that is out of her control and I can accept that, but if I never asked, who knows how long we would have been wainting in the dressing room. When I asked if anyone was going to tell us or were they just going to leave us waiting in the dressing room, she looked annoyed and did not reply. Very rude and unprofessional staff! read more

This was the most unprofessional imaging Service I have ever been to. I have had over 16 surgeries in my life and I was there to get a cat scan with dye on 10-13. They didn't have my report so I called my oncologist office personally and got it faxed to them!! While waiting over another 40 minutes her computer still hadn't picked up the fax yet! She tried to call her office mgr., not in.. While I was waiting, 2 more patients came in, one was told x-ray machine was broken and left, the other person had called two days before for records to be picked up but they didn't have them!! Needless to say, I left called my Dr and said I NEVER will go back to Simon Imaging! They referred me to Radiology LTD and I have an appt for tomorrow and they already have my records!! I've had severe back issues since 1994 & in 2019 I needed to go get a new MRI FOR MY DISABILITY. I was clueless about how it all worked as far as what they saw and how they reported it. I went to Simon thinking one imagining place was just as good as another. THIS IN NOT TRUE! Simon didn't report anything new or worrisome. Needless to say my disability was denied. After trying All the pain clinics here in Tucson I went up to Phx. The dr I went to see wanted my MRI which I gave him. He then asked for a new one because the imaging was worthless and recommended Banner first or Rad. I wasn't able to get in with Banner for 3 months out "that's how far ahead there appointments are filled" so I went to RAD instead. The results were 1000x's different than Simon! Don't Go to Simon! It's not worth it in anyway. You are throwing your money away! Same area within a two year time frame and nothing new i.e. no new injuries the results were day / night! If you need an MRI I don't recommend going to Simon! read more

The phone system is horrible. I finally got an appointment scheduled and received a text day before confirming appt. I called morning of appt. to confirm they receive my order and they said my appointment was canceled, they wouldn't have scheduled me during that time anyways.... NO ONE notified me that it was cancelled at all. I rescheduled with the rude office lady for a week later. My chart was noted that I was taking medicine prior to the appt. because of being claustrophobic. My appt. was at 9am, (took meds at 8am everything has to be timed out). When I got to the appt. to ck in the office lady said oh.. your MRI tec is running late to work today it should be a few mints. I told her I already took my medicine and everything was timed she said well just take more. she's running late to work today. I didn't go back for the MRI until 10am. They didn't know how to work the headphones, they pulled me in and out of the machine three times to get my position right on the table and normally they talk to you though a speaker in the machine, well they said they didn't like to use it it would be 45 mints long and apparently the emergency button was broken too. I would rate a ZERO if I could. Avoid this place at ALL costs. read more

I showed up about 45 minutes before my appointment had all my information ready. After about ten minutes I could over hear the front desk saying they had problems with my insurance then told me it would be 500 dollars to get it checked ended up going to the ER. Will never go there or recommend any patient. Update had to go back after talking to someone showed up on time and waited way to long after check decided to walk out and leave because it was not worth the wait. This was the only place my doctor had sent my referral to so I had to go back two month later I received a bill for a hundred dollars where as if I go somewhere else I would not have been charged. They are a scam they didn't even take my scan properly. I have to get everything redone if you could give a negative rating I would and will be contacting the better business bureau to file a complaint along with the state board as they should not hold licensing to operate. In regards to the insurance stating we over charged you, we are not charging you for anything that they did not apply to your responsibility. I apologize for any frustration, but please feel free to call your insurance again to verify. But she refuses to address the fact that they told me I had no copay or fee. I went in thinking there would be no charge as the office stated. Now they want to take money out of my Parker during Christmas time to fatten their wallet. Such a good company treating its patients like a unsuspecting jackpot waiting to happen. They billed my insurance over a 1000 dollars. And want me to pay more money and they weren't even effective by the time I got my mri my symptoms were not as severe then that asked about paper work I answered on the day of and couldn't recall because who can remember stuff when they are having head issues. If you go here be very careful. I had xrays a CT scan and a MRI all ordered the same day. Had 1 appointment for all same day. The day before my appointment they called and said insurance had not approved the CT scan but they could do the rest. Rescheduled the CT for the next week. Called insurance found they had not turned in the CT untell day before the appointment and it takes two days for permission. I got stuck paying two 150.00 co pays because they were not done the same day. Same day one 150.00 co pay. These people can not be trusted with your care read more

The scheduling department at SimonMed needs A LOT of training. My podiatrist wanted me to have an MSK US which is only done at the Orange Grove location. I made an appointment, then got call the day before my appointment and the rep said that the tech needed more training and they would not be doing MSK US at this time. Made a second appointment 3 months later. My DR. really wanted me to have this scan read by Dr Taljanovic, so I waited. This time SimonMed scheduled me for a location that didn't do MSK US after I requested to be scheduled with Orange Grove. I was rescheduled once again and it happened again. I received a call yesterday that the scheduling dept made a mistake and scheduled me for the wrong location, again. They were apologetic but I'm DONE! This has been the most frustrating experience. Heather Stevens MD from Genesis OB/Gyn ordered a mammogram and an ultrasound of the left breast in order to aide in the diagnosis of my left breast mass. The mammogram and ultrasound of my breast were done on 08/28/2020. I did not get the results of the exams until 09/10/2020. Two weeks from the date of the exam to the availability of exam results when the breast mass may be cancerous is unexceptable. read more

Front desk people have no clue what's going on. Have no idea how the techs are because I didn't even get in for an appointment I had scheduled because they could not find it. I confirmed that they called and showed the texts confirming my appointment at that location for that date and time and they told me nothing they can do. They even told me they saw the referral with them but just don't have any appointment set up. 10/10 I recommend going somewhere more competent with medical practice than Simon medical imaging. read more

I wish I could give this dump a Zero I scheduled an appointment and luckily I had to reschedule. apparently the first appointment taker failed to update my profile as it had someone els's information ! Upon arrival they make you self check in PRIOR to entering their office which took 10 minutes because the app is slow and you have to upload your insuranice and Id and fill out ALL of the forms. Upon checking the girl was applying makeup YES makeup ! I then had to complete the entire paper process again in person because there is lag in their system. Keep in mind they insist that you do this in their App PRIOR to entering their office! They were also running 1 hour behind no notification!! No locker to put my belongings in during my test ! Really? I had to carry my personal clothing across the clinic !! Tacky when I asked the Tech I was told you must have visited another location we don't have lockers here...wow!! My experience at SimonMed Imaging on Orange Grove (on 9/21/20) was very disappointing and frustrating. A few days before mammogram appointment, I completed all necessary information online in order to spend less time checking in, especially with Covid. The clerk at front desk asked for my physician orders which I had submitted online. I informed her of this but she felt I needed to provide the hard copy so I went to get from my car. Not a big deal. Then she asked me for my license and insurance card which I had also copied and submitted online. She then handed me a clip board with approximately four patient forms for me to complete. I told her I had already completed same forms online and she needed to check my patient file. She did pull up my information and printed out. This is all she needed to do from the beginning. She would not have needed me to go to my car and she would not have needed my license and insurance card. When my name was called by the radiology tech, I was in shock to see her wearing sandals and scrubs way too long and dirty. The hem on her scrub pants had about two inches of dirt from dragging on the floor. Very unprofessional and disgusting. I've never been to a clinic where staff is not wearing closed toe shoes and wearing dirty scrubs,. When the radiology tech positioned my breast and body for procedure, she controlled the mammography machine pushing my very tall body down. I expressed my discomfort and told her my back was really in a lot of pain. Her response was, "Hold it. Don't breathe" Thank goodness it was the last film needed. I feel the tech should have stopped when I expressed my discomfort and should have repositioned the machine. When I went back to the changing room (office, with no lock), to get dressed, the hamper was completely full of dirty gowns, sticking out. I wish I could have sanitized my hands but no hand sanitizer was available in that room. My breasts were still red when I got home but the pain was nothing compared to my severe back pain. I spent the entire night icing my very sore back, used my Tens Unit, did some yoga stretches and took meds. I am still feeling discomfort today which is a reminder of the horrible experience I had at Simon Med Imaging. This was the worse experience ever! I will never use this office again. If I could use a zero for a review, I would. read more

Very irritating the way they book appointments they tell you to show up a hour early for your appointment so you can set there and twiddle your thumbs apparently. Don't go here. At least Radiology Ltd. is honest. I went in for a simple Xray, and they gave me the choice between a cash price of 45 and using my insurance which was only 46. So I chose to use my insurance to go towards my deductible. I had previously given this company a 5 star rating for "Great Prices" Then I received an additional bill in the mail for over $800 more than what I was quoted. I called twice before my appointment to confirm the service was pre-approved and covered and was assured both times by Simon Med that it was. well, this went from bad to worse... initial mammo was on April 20.At Wilmot..fast forward a little, (into May) had to schedule another appt for more images---what they didnt tell me was that I needed an ultrasound and they didnt do that on WILMOT. ---so THAT 45 minutes sitting was a waste.. reschedule to another office up in bfnw (orange grove) because that was only office in town to do procedure. (I live an hour away via interstate) (FAST FORWARD TO JUNE, ultrasound). get up there at 9.30 expected time appt for ultrasound. (do check-in yet again, now 6th time--dont you keep that info?) ...THE TECH didnt see me till 10.30 because they had scheduled me for another mammo at 9.30???? WHAT?? I waited another hour for the ultrasound...THEN I had to wait for results, THAT was another 25 minutes--I left thinking all was ok. but, .NO!!!!! MY PCP contacted me (after she had retired) to tell me she was recommending a biopsy!!! WHAT? NOTHING was said about that.....so--after I hand delivered necessary release papers (in May) so records could be faxed to new pcp, and calling several times and leaving messages and not getting called back, , (by the way--their phone system AND their computer system sucks) , I walked in to get records, on July 2nd, THAT lady was very helpful (the only one) and I left yesterday with records for my new pcp. THANKFULLY, I wont ever be using this facility or the one on wilmot ever again....way too much time wasted between scheduling, phone calls, online scheduling, getting records, getting proper procedure, etc, not to mention traveling back and forth because you cant get anyone with some semblance of a brain to pick up the phone who doesnt tell you go online and then having that online site tell you that it isnt available online..... such incompetence. in this day and age and with all this great technology, I do not understand such poor customer service. read more
