Extremely disappointing experience. I called ahead to schedule two exams and was clearly told that my total out-of-pocket cost would be $40. Based on that information, I took time off, drove all the way to the office, and spent money on gas. When I arrived, I was shocked to be told that one exam would actually cost $600, and the other exam that I had been told would have no cost was suddenly $120. Because I was given completely inaccurate information over the phone, I was not prepared to pay those unexpected charges and had to leave without having either exam done. This was a complete waste of my time and money. Patients rely on accurate pricing information to make medical decisions. If your staff cannot provide correct estimates, they should not quote prices at all. I would not recommend this facility based on my experience. read more

They rescheduled my mammogram to 15 minutes earlier the day prior without calling me. They sent an e-mail, which I found a day later. I arrived at the time I was expected to and was greeted with 'You are late.' They refused to see me and made me drive another 30 minutes to another site. It took 2 1/2 hours to complete a simple screening. No apologies. They treated me like I was crazy. It wasn't until I saw the e-mail today that I knew they had changed it and didn't bother to tell me I hadn't scheduled it wrong. I lost 2 1/2 hours of work and drove over 1 1/2 hours when gas prices are at record highs! read more

i called to make an appointment and after 20 mins on the phone was told that the system was down and they would call me back.......never got the call back so I called again and was asked many questions that took another 20 minutes.....was told to hang on then got disconnected.....called back a third time and had to answer all the same questions and after 50 mins finally got an appointment not at the location that I wanted but I was so tired of being on the phone I took it. so the very next day I was told that my insurance was not authorized so I have to reschedule.......NO THANKS. Will likely try to find another facility for a mammogram next time. Checked in on time. After the check in was asked to sit and then casually informed "oh, and mammogram is running 30 minutes behind". Luckily I had my project with me and had something to do because it did t end up being 30 minutes behind it ended up being more than an hour behind. The team members weren't terribly friendly but I imagine they aren't happy employees as the company probably doesn't make much effort to improve their processes. The receptionist was dismissive and showed no concern for the urgency of my mother's situation. She had a STAT order to confirm the placement of a pacemaker that had been surgically implanted less than 45 minutes before we arrived at SimonMed. When we asked how much longer it would take, emphasizing that it was a STAT order, the receptionist casually replied that it only meant the results would be processed faster. I had to explain that this was incorrect--STAT means the test itself must be performed immediately because it is urgent. Given this experience, I will not be returning to SimonMed. read more

The worst experience! They scheduled my exam after I provided all my personal and insurance information. I waited three weeks in pain, and on the day of the exam, they told me I had to pay out of pocket because they don't accept Oscar insurance. This could have easily been communicated earlier. If they had informed me during the phone call, I wouldn't have wasted three weeks waiting. To make matters worse, the attendant--Sophie--was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had several issues with appointments. First appoint was rescheduled Because they allowed me to select an appointment time online that was too late in the day for the MRI I needed. When I arrived for my appointment they let me know they were running at least an hour behind schedule. No notification or anything. They were not sympathetic at all for the inconvenience. After a couple of minutes on the phone, I was good to go. regarding efficiency. This is already my second attempt at getting this exam done, because the first time they couldn't get the machine turned on. No explanation offered, just as poor of customer service as it gets. So our appointment was at 2:30 and at 3:15 we asked how much longer it would be and we're told and they said about 15 minutes more. After another 25 minutes they called us in only to tell us the procedure couldn't be done. All their paperwork was filled out within 10 minutes of our arrival so you would think they could have checked the paperwork at that time and told us the procedure couldn't be done but no. The receptionist a Hispanic, white female has a bad attitude and loves to cause more work and distress to simon med customers, for her own sick ways, this women has issues and brings her issues and hostility with her, she always times people different times and causes for the tech to be looking for people all over the place. Her CD machine is always broken or she had no Cd's to burn, the system is malfunctioning etc when you ask about time waits after you were asked to come in 20/30 minutes before your appointment to have to wait 2 hours because she doesn't check in people correctly always on her cellphone, then acts and blames everyone else specially the technicians, well the technicians ask us what happened and we were like we been waiting for 2 1/2 hours, and they say she always does this reason we don't like to work at this location. We had issues in the past with her and today again. She told me the machine was not working after the gentleman wrote the cd and said,20 minutes later, oh the machine is not working and threw away the cd, well my family member was having the sonogram too, guest what ! she got her cd right after I walk outside. I don't care she has issues this is her place to work but Im not going to tolerate for her to cause me distress for no reason. I heard her telling people to go back another day for the cd, when at any other simon med you wait 10 minutes and get them. Front office: Ok, they check you in and basically do their job but how much effort does it take to do a great job! The front office staff sucks! Back office: Again, they basically do their job but forget about going out of the way to make the customer experience go more smoothly. How about a piece of white paper scotch taped on the door that says, EXIT. Wow many times would a customer have to ask you where the exit is before you would hang up a paper that says' EXIT? This company make ZERO effort at customer service. If you've had you blood drawn at Labcorp & Quest, it's the same difference here. Labcorp does a great job whereas, Quest doesn't, same here. NEXT. It was so hot in their offices. The receptionists had their space heaters on. After crutching my way from the parking lot and down the hall - I was in so much pain and so exhausted. I was sweating and so dizzy and the fact that it was hot in their offices made me feel worse. When I went in to get my CT scans done for my knee, I had to remove my brace and I was giving no pillow to prop my leg up. I couldn't straighten it so the pain was so intense as I was waiting for her to finish. I wish she told me how long it was going to be so I could mentally prepare myself and would have asked for a pillow. After I was done I walked out and was trying to get the receptionists attention and she told me I was good to go. Little did I know as I went to my follow-up appointment they couldn't see me because they were supposed to give me a CD of the scans. I didn't know that and wish the front desk lady would have asked or mentioned that before I left. Just overall service wasn't great and I didn't go back for my MRI. read more

I'm trying to get an MRI for past two weeks. They have scheduled and then canceled on the basis that my insurance was not going through. Not even the first time, and not even today when I even showed up on my appointment at 7.30am, and they telling me that the appointment was canceled because of the insurance not being approved. Made an appointment online. When I got here was told even though the website takes reservations they do not a accept the online reservations for X-rays. And that someone should have called me to reschedule. Well that did not happen. Anyway at reception they did make a new appointment for me. So make sure to call to make your appointments and not use the website if you need an X-ray. So now I am back for the new appointment time and only waited 15 mins. Alyssa was my X-ray tech. What a sweetheart! Alyssa alone took my review from a 3 to a 4 star. Also this location is has a very nice atmosphere. Quiet and nicely decorated. Not as sterile as most medical offices. read more

very humiliating experience. The waiting room was filled so I had to stand in a corner to social distance. I was very surprised that a medical facility did not have public sanitize stations available...this is the first time I have seen this...even 7-11'a have them. I was escorted to a very small waiting area and told to change into a hospital gown...no where do you put your personal belongings and there were already people waiting in the room including a young man talking loudly on the phone just waiting on a patient. Nothing like being in a crappy hospital gown with a bunch of strangers. I was already getting pissed when they moved me to the x-ray room and was told to remove my bra...it was such an undignified experience with no respect for patients privacy read more

While I waited a couple people had to reschedule because they were not in the system and someone else left because they and got frustrated due to long wait. When I called to make an appointment for a x-ray they said - it's only walk ins! Then I ask the time of operation - till 5pm! Arrived at 4:02 and couldn't do my x-ray because the schedule was full???? The same happened with 5 or 6 more people that arrived after me. Including this woman who had surgery and was unable to drive or walk, and she went through the same as me. She called and they said this address would take walk ins until 5pm. Do not make any payments up front to this facility unless you are very sure of what you owe. It is impossible to get a refund! I paid the copay that they assured me was correct; however, my insurance covered the full amount of the exam. I have been calling for over a month now to get a refund, and I get told something different every time I call. SimonMed is a joke - they have amazing customer service voices, but no customer service at all. I asked for the office manager's name and was told she doesn't know it. They scheduled me and said be there at 7:45 AM and we can get you in at 8 am After waiting till after 9 o'clock as I was getting up to walk out the door they finally got me in. The appointment process was a mess - with the scheduling back to back appointments in different offices and cancelling one without telling me - took multiple phone calls to just book 2 separate appointments. They gave me a price, I arrived, oops wrong price $230. more than quoted and oh btw - we are running 1 hour and 45 minutes behind (this was at 11:30am). Meaning they overbook like crazy. I asked for my $$ back, cancelled the appointment and the other and left. Now new place cannot get authorization moved because SimonMed used wrong doctor name (I think they just picked one from a list) so I have to call my insurance to get it straightened out. AND just for more excitement - they keep texting me to reschedule the appointment they could not meet to begin with. STAY AWAY. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. So I never leave a bad review. I would also like to mention that many places are horribly understaffed. This appears to be no exception. Two and half hours for a ct,that never got completed. How or why you ask? Well because they couldn't figure out how to get an iv in my arm(had to try multiple times on multiple arms). So we finally get past that giant obstacle well now its time to flush the line with saline. " you might feel cold and possibly taste metal or smell it" well I didn't because it all leaked out down my back. So we fix the problem (I was told) there's been three of four people in the room to handle this difficult procedure. Finally we get to the contrast but the damn machine won't reach to the arm that has the iv in it. Well anyway when the table starts sliding during the ct I feel all cold and wet again. All of the contrast is now down my back shoulder in my hair and clothes and its all very sticky and uncomfortable. And after all this they tell me well we can try again or we can call it quits. I choose option b. I hope you guys choose option b from the start. I hope this helps. Go to udi! read more

Came here once for a simple chest X-ray and the front office staff gave me some trouble with the report. Had to make some phone calls and eventually talk to the manager there before getting it sorted out. Other than that the building is nice and clean and the office itself is well kept together. Juan Carlos who did my CT Scan is amazing! I would give 100000000 stars for his service! He explained everything about the exam. He told me every detail, everything that I could feel during the exam. He made me feel calm all the time. He talked to me, he gave me attention! Clearly he knows a lot about that exam and about how to treat a patient! Thank you so much for hiring these wonderful people! SimonMed Kissimmee -- Had an appt for xray for a Mon. 12:30P. I made the appt online. Someone called me and asked if I could change the appt to 11:45AM and arrive at 11:30AM. I said that was fine and arrived promptly at 11:30am today, 11/7/16. At 1PM after waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes I asked how much longer. The receptionist said there were still two people in front of me and that I did not have an appt. I assured her I did and explained that someone even called me to change to 11:45AM. When I asked how much longer it would be I was asked if I wanted to reschedule to come back (at this point it was an hour after my scheduled appointment).
