Since their door opened in 2015, Simons has added a breath of fresh air to the Park Royal Mall which in itself has good through major renovations ! What I like about Simons is that there are a large portion of their items are unique to Simons, they have their own name brands in different departments including a line of their very own "Maison" homewares and linen goods all are in good quality, style and price! Of course, they also have the name brand items that are at the other end of the spectrum, with this kind of marketing, they are smart to capture a larger segment of clientele. Service is above average in today's "Department" store type retail, as we see more and more stores only offer a bare bone minimum floor staff, and most often the only Service Staffs is at the Cashier. So all in all, I have to say, with Simons being here in Vancouver, it raised the bar for the Department Stores and offers a greater choice for shoppers!

Simons was one of my usually must visit stores when I was in Edmonton or Calgary. Its great to see that they have Simons here at Park Royal. The selections that they have are very different from the Edmonton store. Its definitely smaller. They don't have a lot of cloths for work setting. The Simons inside Edmonton mall had multi-floors. I was hoping it was the same here. Unfortunately no. Well interestingly is that there is a cafe store inside Simons which is similar to the Simons inside Core Mall in Calgary. The Simons I know would be considered carrying styles and quality above the Bay and below Holt Renfrew. The Simons in BC/Park Royal is totally different. Simons here is a two floor store located near the entrance/exit of the mall. Parking is a hit and miss.

I came here for the first time this week after hearing about it from my mom. I was 0l6esantly surprised! The store is a bit of a mid range department store. There is a huge selection of clothes, particularly for millenials and gen z'ers. The Simons house brands actually make some super cool and super cute apparel and accessories. Jewellery is pretty cheap to buy, I snagged some 24k gold plated earrings for $4.99 and saw freshwater pearl earrings for under $25. The home section is a bit small and disorganized, but again things are really well priced and there seems to be a lot of locally designed items. There are also a lot of items commissioned specifically by Simons. Again, super cute. They dont seem to be stingy with the sales. Top marks to the staff as customer service was even better than the high end department stores, like Holt's or Nordys. There was no obnoxious PA announcement at closing time kicking customers out. Instead, the staff actually went around to gently inform people in person, but they also let you finish shopping. They even asked me what entrance I wanted to exit at to ensure they left those doors open. The employee at the till was super friendly and made sure to bag my accessories separate from other items so that they didnt gro lost, scratched or snag any of the fabric purchases. Pro-tip. There is oodles of parking and you can avoid the traffic jam of park royal and going into the mall by parking on the roof. There is an entrance directly to the store from there.

Love the selection, staff, ambience & the clientele in general. Totally unlike the teenie boppers @ Metrotown. 2 floors, nice escalators. Easy parking entrances, thats why we come back for convenience when lugging around the stroller and diaper bags lol.

Unique combinations of neutral tones and tactile materials mix with bohemian and eclectic to create the most stylish wardrobe a girl could hope for. Apart from the shell-shocking price tags, the shopping experience at Misch is very pleasurable. Hardwood floors and neatly arrange racks make for easy garment spotting and you'll also find a small assortment of very groovy shoes and bags to compliment your gorgeous look. Vancouver's vintage and consignment is already notoriously expensive and caters almost exclusively to a small dress size. Community, a Vintage and Consignment that is run by a non-profit Downtown Eastside housing and resource society not only engages with the neighbourhood it lives in, but also works to diversify its size range to engage with shoppers of many sizes. It hires women from the neighbourhood to work in the business and portions of the proceeds go back into the neighbourhood, which feels great while you shop! The space is small but well utilized and well decorated. Great jewelry by local designers is on display and the clothes have a very consistent and curated turnover rate. And the prices!! Compared to Vancouvers vintage scene, Community is absolutely the fairest price I've found yet. These days even Value Village is getting pricey so to go to a shop where the selection is so well picked out and find something affordable feels great. Again, I'm a plus size shopper who finds an amazing score here 90% of the time. Pieces from Community make up probably 50% of my wardrobe. See you there this weekend!

Not only did she remember me (i've bumped into her a few times at the shop, but not more then a handful) but she was still the incredibly energetic, totally genuine ball of sunshine that made me RUN home to pen that first review back in January. And so, as a tip of the hat to my top service ninja of the year, I thought it be best to share some new findings at Two of Hearts: 1. Karen has a jewellery line that she sells at the shop! Go buy it and support local crafters and an all around rad person! ...I don't remember the name, because I took a business card and had her write down the specifics on a few pieces. Such organization obviously means I will lose said card within 24 hours. I do however have a note that says: "Sounds like the muppets song Mahna Mahna." Because i'm an adult. So I will take that to the Twitterverse for further investigation. Stay tuned. 2. Hats!! If you are looking for the most fabulous fall hat, go check out the Andre felt hats from Montreal. I debated over mine last January and it is singlehandedly my second favourite purchase of the year (it's tough to compete with the Fiat...) They are an excellent price (under $100), made in Canada and just classic, beautiful pieces. But if you buy the red one in the window before, I will get mad at you. Bonus points: you can't even find this line online for a better price. Tip of the hat 2ofH. 3. Bags! I have beat the s%&t out of my bag over the year - every day, dual laptop wielding and it has survived. Definitely looking a bit worse for wear, but it's held up far better then I expected, considering the price point is so reasonable. Right now, they have super awesome colours like hot pink mailbags & bright red clutches. It's a rainbow money suck! 4. Still with the awesome people. Karen isn't an anomaly here. Honest to gosh, i've had nothing but the most fabulous service every time i've gone in. Everyone who works here is all sugar & spice. ...I still have yet to find any actual clothing that fits me properly here... but I don't care. Great accessories & fab people will keep this place as a go to. *** Meiku Designs!!! ... not even close.
