uniqlo sits in that sweet spot where everything looks simple, but somehow you still end up buying more than planned. it's calm, practical, and very easy to browse and shop, clean layouts, neutral colours, and pricing that makes everything feel reasonable in the moment. this location in particular feels spacious and well organized, especially with the two floor layout. neatly arranged sections, wide walkways, and that signature uncluttered look. the wood flooring and bright lighting give it a warm, almost showroom like feel, and everything is folded with that very precise consistency. what also makes this metrotown location stand out is that it's one of the very few in canada that offers utme, their in store custom tshirt and tote printing service. you can design something on the spot and have it printed fairly quickly, which adds a more interactive, personalized element you don't usually get at most uniqlo stores. it may not officially be a "flagship," but features like this make it feel a bit more elevated than your average location. their fabric lines are still the real hook: heattech is built for layering in colder weather. it's thin but surprisingly warm, which works perfectly for vancouver's kind of damp cold. airism is the opposite, light, breathable, and moisture wicking. their airism tshirts are especially reliable for everyday wear: comfortable, easy, and low maintenance. beyond basics, uniqlo keeps things interesting with ut graphics and collaborations. you'll find everything from playful designs like miffy, mofusand, and even kpop group baby monster to more design forward partnerships with roger federer and jw anderson. what stands out most is the consistency. hoodies, tees, and outerwear all feel dependable in both fit and quality. it's the kind of place where you go in for something specific (like a birthday gift) and leave with a few extras that just make sense. and yeah, the vancouver situation still feels a bit limited. compared to tokyo, where uniqlo is everywhere, even inside both major airports, it feels more like a destination here. having to head out to metropolis at metrotown, cf richmond centre, or coquitlam centre makes it more of a planned trip. a downtown vancouver location would fit in naturally (pacific centre would be perfect, hint, hint), especially given how well their basics suit everyday city life. overall, uniqlo keeps things straightforward, but does it well enough that you always come back. read more

Just wanted to say that the LPO in your store has absolutely zero authority to ban people from the mall. Your authority stops at the door dude. Outside of your stores you can't do squat for banning people only Ivanhoe properties, concord security, or the rcmp can enforce that ban. So good luck with that one! But guess what you sir are banned from every Jim Pattison food group store across Canada. So there's a piece of food for thought for you to chew on for the rest of eternity because if they ever catch you in their stores you'll be told to leave and you what would be even better if one I was there to see it happen and two of it was a guard from your own company. The only way you could ever improve is to close every single store on the planet and that would be an improvement! Also he's mad because he got banned from another store for blatantly lying and misleading the manager at save on foods telling me I was being refused service. As for value I wouldn't buy your poorly made defective products anyways. I love Uniqlo, a Japanese brand known for its quality and reasonable price. However, I don't shop them online, as their exchange & return policy sucks. Or rather, nonexistence... No exchange if it doesn't fit, only return for $5 processing fee. What kind of clothing company does that? Which is why we look up the store wherever we travel, and looks like the locals here are as excited as us about Uniqlo staking their flag here. Not a fan of this location inside the mall though. Guess the rent is expensive here, for the place feels really tight. I don't even feel so claustrophobic when I shopped Uniqlo in Hong Kong!! Keep an eye out for their sale items. Every week they put something on sale at a nice discount. Very nice value when you consider the quality of the material and workmanship. Typical Japanese simple and durable. Better than Gap, H&M and the like. Their thermal clothing is really comfy too. If you are lucky, you can score at their final sale bin - like $3.90 for a tee shirt - which I did. read more

We can't visit Japan right now but we can visit our Uniqlo! Love the organization and colour organization in the store. They just expanded and maybe I'd never noticed before but if you're looking for a huge variety of colourful socks this is the place to be! The colourful sock section is only in the "mens" section right now. The ladies sock selection was pretty sad only being 1/10 the guys side. But I still found what I wanted for me. You get what you pay for and a store policy stacked against the buyer from the get-go. Once you wash it, it doesnt matter if there is a defect in material (in our case) or a defect in workmanship. THANK YOU SO MUCH MR HANADA, for your canned regurgitation of your company policy. Purchased a pair of jogger slacks for my son (among other items) on 3.23.18. While wearing them, he accidentally splashed his bottled water on them. Washed them like any patent does and hang dry them. The results? Water stains down the pant legs. Wash them again, this time by hand with zero. End results- the same. Simple water stains wont come out. Call into Uniqlo, and speak to a CS rep, explained and them wait 10min to speak to Mr Hanada, the manager. His reply (canned response), "company policy, no returns after it has been washed..... regardless of defective material problem/ damage or not. We stand by our policy." All we wanted was an exchange for another pair. NEVER Again from is stacked against the customer store policy. May the forces of ying/yang be with you Hanada. read more

UNIQLO - Not worth my while - Children's Clothing Near Me - Burnaby, British Columbia

This is a fabulous store. I had been to the Bell Square Uniqlo many times (in Bellevue, WA), and I thought that was a great store. But this Metrotown site beats the Bell Square site hand's down. First of all, this store has two levels, is way larger, and as such, has a much larger inventory. Secondly, as a larger venue, the store seems more spacious, less cramped (not that the WA store was cluttered, but here there's just more room to move around. Even the long line at the cashier moved three times faster than that at the WA store as there are way more cashiers). Third, since it's a larger store, there are more employees on the floor available to help. I immediately found a guy in the section I was in, and I asked him to check if a jacket I wanted was available in the size I needed. It's nice that employees are so accessible when needed. As usual, Uniqlo carries terrific clothes. I find their apparel well-made and very reasonably priced for the quality. I love their light-weight but toasty parkas and vests and jackets, and their sweaters and pants are terrific, too. I'm always cold, so I love their base layering clothing, too; they really help to keep me warm without adding any extra bulk. Employees are super nice and always greet you with a welcoming word. And bonus points to this store for putting up terrific photos of well known Vancouver landmarks! Love seeing close-ups of the Burrard bridge, the seawall through Stanley Park, the East Van sign and more. Nice! read more

Yet this recent collab in the form of an all-black plush fails mainly in its choice of fabric. It feels cheap on the hands and definitely NOT worth $50. #169 This is my 4th trip to Vancouver's UNIQLO location. As an overweight guy, I am surprised how many high quality clothes I can find in my size (L to XL). I have two pair of the dry sweat stretch pants (usually $39.90+tax) and three pair of the Japanese thermal underwear (with the special heat retention material). Both are perfect for the Calgary cold (price range I have seen is between $12.90 to $19.90+tax). You can try most clothes on in multiple fitting rooms. The store is spread out over two levels and seems to be always busy. It is well lit and high energy music echos throughout the store. The spaces between rows and stacks is not always overweight friendly especially when it is busy. Most of the clothing and accessories are grouped together in a logical sense. On the + side, the staff seem very friendly and willing to help at least during the four times I have been. Checking out can be a challenge as one massive line filters into rows of cashiers. Note that many items are final sales which the cashiers usually point out so keep that in mind when you purchase goods. I cannot wait to see this store debut in Calgary. I am guessing Chinook Centre or Market Mall would be the best place to put it. read more

UNIQLO is reminiscent of my travels in asia - a MUST GO - and that is the same case now that it has finally arrived in Vancouver too! It's cool that they trained the staff to be just as courteous and welcoming as their Japanese counterpart. Staff are super friendly, helpful and readily available! When you're there, look for the red sale signs - they always have certain items on sale and it changes every week or so. They have a good selection of clothing for every occasion - casual, athletic, business, classy, etc... I really enjoy their Heattech line - keeps you warm yet wicks your sweat and keeps you dry. This Heattech technology is available in different styles of clothing - not just athletic gear! Uniqlo spans two floors, so make sure to check out both! And there is a change room area on both floors; however, there is only a cashier and return area on the bottom floor! Overall, great selection of clothing and accessories for males, females and kids at very reasonable prices and good quality. Definitely my go-to for basics and staples. So, what are you waiting for, you MUST GO to UNIQLO! read more

very bad service. didnt know there was a mark on the pants when I purchased. I brought it back to the store at metrotown and the manager wouldn't let me return it. The manager just used the cctv to see whether the pants have a mark or not. I am very disappointed with uniqulo service. Been to Japan several times and always stock up on UNIQLO items when there. Really like their thermal cooling and heating specialty clothing which are very good and cost effective. This new Canadian location spans two levels in Metrotown and has cashiers on both levels. Huge lines at the cashiers but went extremely fast and efficient. Prices are competitive to the Japan stores, thought it would be inflated prices but pleasantly pleased. Well staffed store, lots of selection, compatible selection and prices to the Japan locations, and if you can't find it here, there are hundreds of other stores in this crazy busy mall to find what you are looking for. read more

Shittiest customer service ever, blame other customers for their defective item, not professional at all. I was buying their legging and when I tried it at home the legging was being ripped off and there's was pilling all over inside legging!! That so disgusting!! I tried to exchanged it next day and explained everything and customer service straight saying that this item final sale cannot be returned. And I insisted saying the fabric was ripped etc etc and some lady helping me and discussed behind staff room and she agreed to exchanged. She said very unnecessary things like "sometimes customer they do this cut the label and and do this" not sure what she means or idk if she accusing me or accuse other customers do that. Okay now that the rush has died down I finally got to come here. I was overwhelmed when it opened. My friends have been making these place such a big deal that I finally had to see what the fuss was about a few weeks ago when I was in Metrotown. I have no cultural comparison to the store in Japan, however, I did find something for myself which was a nice warm hat and an inner jacket for winter that was actually under my budget. This place is medium expensive but I really like the quality and can understand why there is a lot of excitement around this place. I couldn't be more excited when Uniqlo finally came to Canada. It's affordable clothing for what you pay and as an Asian person, I like that their pants aren't super long. The staff are friendly and helpful and you can pretty much always get help when you need it. Recent awful purchase experience, they delivered totally wrong items, the store won't take it back, and asked me to "take responsibility" to go through what they called the "online refund process", and then I have to wait for ONE MONTH to get my money back after they receive it. Worst customer experience. Not only are their in-store management unhelpful and rude - but their online customer "care" team is laughable. I've spent hundreds of dollars this year alone on Uniqlo apparel across 3 countries - but customer value has no importance to this faceless corporation. I recently tried to exchange an item - but had exceeded the 30 day period by 3 days but they were completely inflexible and unwilling to help. This is incredibly surprising and disappointing given that almost ALL major North American retailers would try to help their customer and maintain a high level of customer service. First time there to buy some one-piece for the baby for winter but grabbed one that was a sleeveless tank top. Since every package is sealed, it was hard to find out the mistake until you open it. There is no exchange or return for baby clothes. Uniqlo, the least you can do is make it clearer what is inside the sealed bag. 3 stars for the friendly environment and staff. 1 star off for the packaging and 1 star off for their no exchange policy. read more
