My wife and I were comfortable enough to explore the yard, peek in the attic and scratch our heads at post-teen color choices and afterward talk dollars and cents. Off the start, Tim was knowledgeable, not just well read-up. This was a neighborhood he'd lived in... His daughters attended high school down the street, he knew the businesses nearby, Tim could match interests of yours to names of people that worked nearby. Throughout the process, I think that was a excellent quality of his - Being able to speak to the sum of why you wanted to look somewhere. The rest of the process flew through w/ predictable assurance and w/o difficulty. As this review was finished now two years after the sale went through, I'm unsure whether Tim's still at the same location. Even if he isn't, I'd still go out of my way to look him up! My wife and I will likely do so at our next purchase, hopefully some distance off.

However, they did send out a great maintenance person, Jerry Grow, within hours of my submitting a request about a clogged drain and non-functioning garbage disposal. Jerry diagnosed the issue and replaced the garbage disposal and unclogged the drain and was very intentional about not leaving a mess, which I really appreciated. He definitely went above and beyond and made sure I didn't have any other maintenance issues that needed to be addressed while he was there. He also gave clarifying information about an issue with the property, and how it was going to be addressed, as well as the best way for us as tenants to contact the manager. Jerry definitely gets five stars in my book.

It couldn't be more stressful to ask for some basic thing from someone specifically designated for that and get nothing but the middle finger and knowing every future need will be treated the same. And considering these are older properties, needing some kind of maintenance seems inevitable. After a couple of days of trying to get the financing in order she became very vindictive when we talked with our family about getting our own representative to write up the offer. Greedy and was demanding a referral fee from the new realtor that we interviewed from Windermere. Since she was the sellers agent she made it absolutely impossible to have them look at the offer. We put an offer in place for a back up 7,000 over. I would avoid this agent all the way and think that she should be banned from representing the buyers and the seller at the same time. She gives realtors a bad name.

But then as soon as I had people interested in the house, I had NO INFORMATION given to me about any of the financials. I was not privy to their lease agreement, the amount of the deposit, anything. I was also not given any information about when payments would be disbursed until I reached out and asked. This didn't feel like transparency. I was finally given my first payment 12 days after tenants moved into my house. I received a very small fraction of what they paid on move in. This was expected! Expensive, but expected. What was not expected was the re-key fee that Best Life charged me. I left complete sets of keys, there was no need to charge me the rekey. This shouldn't have been a big deal, but I received nothing but defensive communication in response. No apology. She offered to remove the fee but didn't apologize, when I explained why I was frustrated she FIRED ME. That was it. I would have loved for this to be a great experience with no hidden fees--this business advertises pricing transparency--but instead, on my very first disbursement there was a hidden fee. Disappointing to say the least. ALL I NEEDED WAS AN APOLOGY, INSTEAD SHE FIRED ME. I have no idea what will happen to my poor tenants.
