Here it is, 2019, and I am just as enamored with DrDave and his staff, if not more-so. I don't see…read morehim as often as I'd like -- for additional help in the 'integrated' area -- as I am disabled, broke, cannot drive, and have no one to drive me. I've tried 'Medicaid rides' but out of three attempts, no one has EVER shown up to take me to appointments! DrDave doesn't get onto me to come in more often. He understands my situation and knows that I WILL show for my annual, even if I have to walk for days! For the record, my disabilities are numerous and complicated (e.g. Arnold-Chiari malformation [two brain surgeries w/ one botched] and at least three more conditions which all feed onto each other), and they are irreversible. I never expected DrDave to "fix me," but he has been a wonderful help. A God-send, really. My glowing review stands. And glows even more brightly! Bless him and his staff. P.S. His office is not a "chiropractor's" office. It is so much more.

I went to Dr Forbes for almost a year and paid cash due to not having insurance, with the exception…read morefor the last visit. I initially went to him based on some inflammatory skin issues and weight increase that was not coming off. I wanted a more holistic approach to my health regime that I did not receive from a more traditional MD. I signed up for the medical portal which for the first visit was a bit pricey, yet did receive the ability to get notes and lab results which was nice. Initially, the blood tests were overwhelming and overall a game changer towards taking back my own power in my health. I was also instructed to go on a total elimination diet, which I began to follow. What I didn't receive, nor was it offered, was the ability to "test" my gut - as I was dealing with major inflammation and autoimmune issues that had my skin 95% raw. Had my gut been tested at any time, especially while I was on the elimination regime - the results would have not only tracked what was unhealthy in my gut biome that was causing the problem, it would have also been able to indicate the types of healthy bacteria to put back in there. While I experienced healthier results following the instructions I did receive, a year plus later am still dealing with same issues I initially went for, which is discouraging when I think about all the money I invested towards this particular issue. Perhaps he doesn't know how to deal with the gut, not sure, as a few visits lasted for about 5 mins, then I was out the door. I decided to stop going because it was not getting to the heart of the matter that at times is very crippling to deal with. What I currently know, based on my own personal research and journey is that what I am dealing with can shift with the right gut regime and may even be reversible. There are many "functional" medicine Practitoners that are sharing more and more about the benefits of a healthy gut. I give 3 stars for helping me start on the path, yet would have given 5 if Dr Forbes had offered tests to help me understand the gut issues that triggered my autoimmune issues, as they did not surface before 1989 and no one in my family tree has them.
