Her portal allows for ease of scheduling your photo shoot, and she was even able to accommodate a backup date if needed in case baby decided to come later than expected. On the portal you can give all the details for the photos you're envisioning, so Nicole can capture exactly what you'd like. We arrived to her studio and were very impressed by the large wardrobe of dresses for mom to wear, some outfits for siblings, and swaddles, hats, and accessories for the newborn. Not to mention the beautiful backdrops and staged areas available for both newborn photos and capturing our family. With her baby magic, Nicole was able to get our newborn out of his car seat and managed to swaddle him without waking or stirring him. She's a mom of five, and she's clearly a baby whisperer who truly knows what she is doing! Our busy, high energy two year old was not a fan of sitting still or cooperating for any of the photos. She was completely unfazed and used snacks, toys, and sang songs to get his attention and look at the camera. When we got our photos, I was in complete awe that she managed to get great family photos despite our toddler's difficult demeanor that day. We are absolutely thrilled with the gorgeous photos that Nicole captured of our baby and family. She is a photographer who truly knows her stuff and specializes in working with and capturing families. We have been so happy to work with her, and we will be treasuring these photos for the rest of our lives!

PROS: -Excellent pricing with unlimited wedding day coverage. -They were flexible with our timeline and helped structure our day. -Our engagement photos turned out great, and Sheila traveled to the cities at no charge to take them at a specific location -Jesse, Jessica, and Lucas are efficient photographers and had many creative ideas. They had no trouble taking charge with our large families, and they encouraged us to come up with ideas as well. -Everyone we spoke to was kind and professional. -We were able to pay off our balance in full before the end of the calendar year for a discount. CONS: -We originally had some issues with communication and color on some of the photos. However, Jessica responded politely and helped us resolve the issues for our online website with our photos. I requested a disc with these adjusted photos back in October. I still have not received this disc, despite numerous follow-up attempts via phone call and email. In addition, I was told I would receive a wall print for referring a client, which I have not yet received. Follow-up emails/calls were made on 11/8/15, 1/11/16 (they responded on this date and asked for more information, which I supplied), 2/9/16, and 3/22/16.

They showed up late and missed any pictures of the party getting ready. They then proceeded to take 5000 photos of the wedding dress. We had to ask them several times to leave so that the bride could put on her dress. This left us feeling rushed taking group shots. They got confused about where we were supposed to park for location shots so the entire party was forced to walk a half mile in 90 degree weather and heels. Their pictures are unoriginal and poorly shot. There were hardly any photos taken of family, notably there were no photos taken of the grooms mothers long term partner. Pictures are poorly touched up. The one great thing to take away from the experience is that I know not to hire them for my wedding.

The weather on our wedding day was less than perfect but Stacy had a plan to take as many beautiful photos as she could, and she succeeded! I even had family members come up to me and say how awesome the photographer was, which really says a lot. I would recommend Design Studio by Stacy to anyone, we will definitely be taking family photos with her in the future! :)
