It's great a place like this exists for people who want to eat low carb, but unfortunately it primarily caters to the meat-eating crowd. I came here to check out the little store, which has a good selection of low carb snacks and such. But since I was also hungry, I inquired about the food situation and found there were a few vegan options. I ended up choosing a salad which was supposed to be served with blueberries but they were absent. There were lots of mushrooms (which sadly I don't like), tomatoes, cucumber, and avocados, but unfortunately not much flavor at all. And to top it off, the cost was relatively high for something that was pretty basic. It would be cool if there was tofu, but oh well. I got a turmeric latte with coconut milk as well, and that was fine, but also kind of bland. And finally I got a slice of passion fruit cake, which was vegan and delicious! This was the only food that impressed me, to the point where I'd go back just to try out more vegan baked goods there (this was the only thing vegan that day, so I'm not sure if they have something vegan each day or not). Overall, the cake was the only highlight, and the entire meal was really expensive for Berlin standards (but maybe normal for Mitte? I don't know as I rarely eat there). So two stars for food, but four stars for the cafe (which is small but well stocked, and also functions as an online shop). read more

I absolutely love this Café right in the middle of Berlin (the former 'East'). The lovely owners Alexandra & Robert have created a really cozy place. Their no-sugar and gluten-free cakes, muffins and foods are all fresh and homemade - it's amazing how tasty they are - and even not expensive! And breakfast is all day long :) Robert is always up for a little nice chat about Paleo and Keto while he is preparing my Bulletproof Coffee which he creates always fresh - so yummy! After a loooooong Sunday being in the SUN dehydrated at the "Mauerpark" we've moved back towards our hotel and got really hungry. Unfortunately no cash and it was around 4ish a lot of places had no more food and only pay cash. When we found this place. The guys had been great offering us to make a low carb Pizza. The Pizza came on time and for low carb it was great(but bae makes it better at home). Some of the offered drinks where unique (at least for us) but sad that the coconutwater or even coconutlatte was made by coconutwater out of TetraPack. A fresh one would have been cooler. This place needs a lot of work and I'm honestly confused about why it's so hyped. Must be because it's the only place labeled as 'keto.' The selling point is their keto bread, but other than that, it leaves a lot to be desired. 1) The salads and bowls are rather bland, and for 10+ euros, I'd expect something a lot more. Most salads are keto anyways, and you can get lower priced, incredible salads in the area without having to go here. 2) The matcha drink and smoothies are swampy and not very good 3) The cakes, both types I've tried on two separate occasions, have made me sick to my stomach for hours after. I'm not really allergic to any ingredients or foods that i know of, so I think the combination of ingredients they use or the amount of stevia could be the culprit. Just beware. I had to lie down immediately after. 4) The service is really in need of a revamp. People don't seem to be very with it, and they are quite slow. read more

Very nice atmosphere, bright and beautiful decoration and great staff. You can get a breakfast and deserts, warm drinks and there are a few shelves with store products that are Keto, like broth, Chocolate, oils, etc. As a vegan my option here was a soup and some of the beverages, but as the breakfast has a lot of veggies and avocados, i am sure I wouldn't stay hungry. read more

Seriously, this place is amazing. My better half and I are here in Berlin for the next few months, and we figure what better place to test new pieces to our diet than in a diverse and welcoming city like this. One thing we are experimenting with is the ketogenic diet, which for those that know has boundless benefits with almost no risk on the other side. In our research, we came across Simply Keto.. And wow are we glad we did For starters, they have a fantastic array of keto friendly ingredients in their growing selection of groceries. Pumpkin seed flour, erythritol sweetener, even a hazelnut paste that puts Nutella to shame! Even though we've made more plant based adjustments to our diet as is, it's really cool to know that we can have guilt free pancakes anytime we want Then there's the pre made goods they have available at the cafe.. Holy wow! They work wonders to create such delicious treats and full fledged Keto meals when you're not in the mood to cook yourself For me personally, though, the best part of Simply Keto are its two owners. They are so engaging, so lovely, and their English is flawless. We've had 20-30 minute conversations with them about the ketogenic diet, and they are a wealth of knowledge ready and willing to share to anyone willing to listen. I recently purchased the Keto pills endorsed by Shark Tank. Boy did they help me lose. Every dime I spent on them is lost forever. They don't work. They are a scam. This is proof positive that an endorsement from the shark tank billionaires is not an assurance of a quality product. For Paleo and Keto fans, this is a great place to have in Berlin. Especially if you want to check how different types of recipes look and taste like. My wife and I came here on a Sunday late breakfast and we had the simple breakfast and gulasch dishes. They seem like a ordinary usual meal but with the valued benefit of staying within the gluten-free and paleo/keto rules. I am rating it 4/5 mainly because having something like this in Berlin is quite special. If it manages to spread a scene that supports the lifestyle of not-so-active workers or dieters that are looking for an effective diet, the better it is overall for such a vibrant city. The place is decent in size but relatively small compared to Bio-shops in town. It's part cafe and part a shop, where they offer a library of books to read while you eat. I would have given it a full 5 stars if I had the chance to try their burger menu that I saw in foursquare. Finding ways to mock "fast-food" with better ingredients would have been super interesting to try out. I would definitely pass by now and then just to check out whether they offer anything new. Finally, a low carb cafe & bistro! During one of our urban hikes on a Sunday afternoon my husband and I happened upon this modest albeit comfortable little cafe in Invalidenstrasse: everything low carb and delicious too! Had a traditional "marmor " ( marble) and a poppy seed cake, only 5 and 3.5 grs of carbs per slice ...and delicious too! The friendly owner- a young skinny guy and his girlfriend- are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They also serve burgers with low carb ketchup and celery fries! If you love clean eating, this is the only place in Berlin worth visiting. If you're celiac and/or follow a ketogenic diet, only eat here--you'll leave happy. The menu is small, but that insures quality. For dessert, the Keto Knickers have either collage or whey protein--order both. This is a very nice cafe where they serve low carb and gluten free meals. The cafe also doubles as a small store where you can buy ingredients like almond flour, almond butter, stevia etc. The food is nice and the owner is very pleasant. What a gem!! Delicious bulletproof coffee, keto pantry items, and AMAZING food! I had the veggie wrap which as an American was more like lasagna but it was it was exactly what I needed on a cold Sunday night! It took 100% of my strength not to try all of the pastries. The owner (i assume) was super nice and helpful to people that came in who didn't know what keto is.
