FIVE STARS FOR APPLE CIDER SLUSH…read more I've been coming to Jackson's Orchard with my family for years and it is always something I look forward to in the fall, especially when we are looking to go to a pumpkin patch. I recently learned that it's open in the summer, too, and I was so excited to come and get my apple cider slush fix (and some fried apple and peach pies)!! The slush (and cider) is unlike any other. It's the perfect mix of sweet and sour, and no matter how hard I try I can't replicate it at home. The fried pies were a little undercooked and not as warm and toasty as I remember them being, but I'm guessing that they are better during the busy months when they have to make them fresh. There are bathrooms on-site, and lots of outdoor seating. There is a store to buy lots of jams and salsas and fresh produce. There is also a playground ($3 per person). During the fall fest there are always a lot of activities like a petting zoo and face painting, etc. Some may say it's a bit overpriced, but I love supporting this family owned orchard that has been a staple in the greater Bowling Green area for 50 years!! Called to complain and was told they used higher quality succulents and a bigger container. The description states "additional flowers will be added to enhance the bouquet". I was also offered that it could be returned for a refund. This was sent as a gift, I'm certainly not going to ask for it to be returned. Won't be using this florist again. On a positive note, I did order this arrangement this morning and it was delivered early afternoon the same day.
