At work I was picking up a box and trying to put it on top of a third box. This was bad because I hurt myself and ended up having to call workers comp to find some recommendations for doctors close to home. It's how I found Shoemaker. This guy is great. I was so impressed with the service from the staff. I remember at one point, after my first visit, it must have been about 7:30 pm and I received a phone call from one of the technicians checking to see if I drove home ok with no pain. I told Dr Shoemaker that I drove a manual so I had to constantly shift gears and it was hurting my shoulder when I did shift up and down. At any rate, Dr Shoemaker is not a stranger to most people in the area. He works with alot of the Broadway productions actors and actresses who perform locally or are passing through on a show. Also, he works with many wrestlers, whether or not they are WWF Pros Im not sure, but judging from the pictures, they just look menacing. I can assure you that he is the most sincere doctor I've ever met. After going through so many doctors office who just rush in and out, this particular doctor was very refreshing. Aaahhhhh Amy who performs massages as well does wonders. She has this heated warm blanket you lay under while she kneads away ---I just wanted to sleep. I've been to Belladonna and the spa at most resorts and none of them made me feel this way. She has a true gift. The best This is a little gem in Chalmette, also, on certain days, there is a regular medical doctor that comes in. Doc has a location on the Northshore in Slidell and is currently renovating his facilities to accommodate the large amount of patients coming by daily. Parking lot in the front and on the side of the building is available. He accepts medicaid, insurance, workers comp, just call to make sure before you make the trek out there. He does take walk-ins but it's ideal to make an appointment. Thank goodness he opens til 6pm.

Dr. Cao and Dr. Tony are great, they are there to help you heal and offer a great deal of machines and table options to custom design your treatment regimen. Adjustments are also well thought out and based on how your body feels day to day. They don't just do the same thing every time you come in like some others I've seen in the past. You will not be in the office for long. Love the location on Canal street, the office is clean and decorated with New Orleans Artwork. They take my insurance so I only have to pay my co-pay. I recommend calling before hand to make an appointment but they do take walk-ins. Also, they have massage therapists on staff, a great service for your body pain. They always send a 50% of your massage coupon for your birthday, I recommend taking full advance of this discount. Note: the office is only opened Monday- Thursday so plan accordingly.

The front desk staff is always welcoming, helpful and personable. I genuinely love talking to the ladies. We always have uplifting conversation and they are amazing women. When we get to the back the ladies that provide the blankets with heat and the electric pads on your back (not sure what they're called lol) are all so sweet. Every single one of them are such enjoyable people to be around. Dr. Matt is no different. They're a very busy establishment but I've never felt rushed or skipped.
