But I also had another dress which she OPENED by her choice to see if I had more room for it to fit me. Long story short, we decided it was too expensive for her to do both dresses so we left one. She told us if we couldn't find someone cheaper she will re close for me (were it originally was before opening) which her ENGLISH speaking daughter was right beside her knew what was explained to us. So we were cool with that. Also, because I had a photoshoot I decided to see if I can find someone cheaper but (we just decided I wouldn't wear the dress for the hassle) and stick to the one she was currently opening for us. So upon picking my dress today... I brought the dress back that SHE opened back to her to close at her timeframe no rush (as promised) . She had the nerve to tell me she will still charge me 40 dollars SAME price to open my dress. What a way to Try to get over on customers. Lost a client in me. Other better tailors close by. Better service and trusting in price. Trust me it wasn't a good thing. She damage my dress and wouldn't put it back were it was originally before she opened it. So basically my dress is just open on both sides. How tacky ! Hope that was worth it.

I woke up and decided I wanted to find my wedding dress that day. As some of you know, it's nearly impossible to do walk-ins at bridal shops. After going to a few and trying to schedule a few appointments, which we successfully did for later in the evening, we called BE. They had just opened and advised they could fit us in immediately. As soon as I walked in the door, I was welcomed by a few of the staff members. The interior of the building was decorated gorgeously. Private bridal suites, with couches, chairs for guests and extremely large mirrors. A separate room with a large mirror to dress in private. Devon introduced herself and informed me she would be my bridal consultant for the appointment. Devon led me back to a private viewing room and asked to see pictures and pinterest boards of wedding dresses I liked. She asked specifically what I liked about it, what I disliked and what I was indifferent on. After going through the run down, Devon personally measured me to ensure the dresses I tried on would fit. The best part was that Devon wasn't awkward about seeing me in undergarments or somewhat naked when trying on dresses. She made me feel comfortable in my own body and not judged. After going to some previous shops, I wasn't measured and they guessed which led to me not being able to fit in certain gowns and getting stuck so this was very reassuring off the bat. Devon is hands down one of the most sweetest, kindest, outgoing, bubbly and most helpful consultant I've ever encountered. Devon listened to understand which was huge for me. Devon pulled a variety of dresses and helped me realize the dresses I liked in the photos, I didn't like on my body. We were able to figure out what dresses fit my body type and the very last dress Devon pulled happened to be my dream dress. Devon took me to the celebration suite when she asked if I was saying yes, then popped a bottle of champagne. They also gave my pregnant friend a sparkling water so she could enjoy as well. The owner came in and personally congratulated me and gave me compliments on the dress. After dressing out, they asked to take a yes picture to celebrate. I would strongly caution anyone considering Bridal Extraordinaire to ask for EVERY charge in…read morewriting before agreeing to anything. We were hit with an exorbitant rush-shipping fee, yet no one bothered to tell us when the item was ordered that rush shipping would even be necessary. Had we been informed upfront, we absolutely could have chosen a different item and avoided the ridiculous additional cost. Even more concerning, when we asked Bridal Extraordinaire to provide a receipt or documentation showing the actual rush-shipping charge, they refused. If you are charging a customer a substantial fee supposedly for expedited shipping, why would you be unwilling to show documentation of that charge? That lack of transparency felt incredibly deceptive. Their tuxedo rental prices were also significantly higher than other places we compared -- and not by a small amount. Wedding planning is stressful and expensive enough without having to wonder whether you are being fully informed about charges or whether additional fees are being marked up behind the scenes. Our experience left us feeling taken advantage of rather than valued as customers. Poor communication, excessive charges, and a troubling lack of transparency. We would NEVER shop here again.

Altar Bridal Review…read more I had the absolute pleasure of shopping at Altar Bridal for my very first wedding dress shopping experience. Nancy was a kind, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgable consultant who made me feel so comfortable and beautiful! She listened to what I wanted and made sure to show me plenty of dresses that fit that vision, but she also showed me some gorgeous dresses that were outside of my comfort zone. She explained all of her choices, why she picked them and how she thought they fit my vision or would make me feel and walked me through the details on each one. I knew I wanted to try a little of everything since I had never tried any sort of gowns on before and she delivered! I was able to see myself in a variety of silhouettes and styles, which really helped me narrow it down to the dress of my dreams. It's also worth noting that she was extremely respectful of my budget, which is something I was nervous about with dress shopping in general. I left the appointment feeling confident, beautiful, and so happy. I felt like Nancy was committed to finding me the dress of my dreams, regardless of where I ended up finding it. She was genuinely happy to hear about my second appointment at a different store and told me I'd have a great time. She also let me know that if I ended up wanting to move forward with a dress that I'd tried at Altar, all I would need to do is call and let them know. I never once felt pressured to buy anything from there, which was something I was also worried about with dress shopping in general. Ultimately, my second experience paled in comparison to the one at Altar. At the end of both appointments I knew that a dress I had picked out at Altar was the one for me (coincidentally, it was the very first dress Nancy had me try on, which I think speaks to how well she understood what I was dreaming of!). I called and talked to Sarah, who was also extremely kind and helpful, and told me the dress was mine!
