We were ecstatic when we walked onto our balcony and had an expansive view of a cathedral and into the city. We were up there with the angles - literally the angels that adorned the building bordered our balcony. The place is a bit run-down, and they are in the process of restoring. Also- internet is mainly in the lobby as the signal was too weak in our room. When it gets gussied up - it will truly be fabulous. But for now, at a steal, was the perfect place to stay. The apartment is new and they give you Internet wireless connection for free, flat TV 42", fix line telephone (you can't phone, but you can receive phone calls at the phone number they give you), espresso coffee machine, etc. There is a laundry in a common place, with a washing machine and a drying machine. I really appreciate that kind of arrangement, and I suggest it at everyone have a family, and want visit Wien in a easy way.

When we went up, we discovered it had been closed for the entire month of August -- information we would have appreciated at check-in. Although we were upgraded to a suite, the room was extremely dated, and all of the outlets were in use. We had to unplug a lamp just to charge our phones. We then tried to use the spa facilities, but the man at the desk was abrupt and clearly unhappy when we said we did not want a massage and only wanted to use the sauna and steam room. Once inside, we found that neither had even been heated, despite being there during operational hours. When we asked, he told us the hotel was supposed to ensure they were ready -- clearly, this was not the case. Back in our room, we turned on the TV only to find just two English channels (both news), while there were more than eight Arabic channels. Very disappointing and not what we would expect from a hotel at this level.
