Joined this "match making" service in February 2009. Most of my matches were okay - usually just a first "blind" date and nothing more. But there were two matches that I had multiple dates with. One bad match in first 7 months, then after I complained, they sent me 2 in one week. One of the matches was married with no plans to divorce and also with a criminal record. For assaulting a woman. So much for screening. In my correspondence with them they do not even know how many matches I paid for and they are rude when you call them and ask why 4 or 5 months go by with no word from them. I signed up with Singles Plus in Mt. Pleasant, SC and they are running a scam!!! The cost was 6,695.00 (which I am disputing) and I was placed under such high pressure to sign the papers I felt I had no choice but to sign in order to get out of there. As soon as I got home I wrote them and told them that I did research and did not want the service. I told them I did research on the internet about their service and it was some really bad reviews. I contacted my bank the same day to dispute the charge. I have contacted them several times and it seems there are no bad service just bad clients, which are growing in numbers every day. DO NOT DO IT! I'll admit, I signed a contract, I felt pressured and I don't make good choices with high-pressured sales tactics in play. But I was given the run-around when I tried to cancel within my grace period. Once she finally agreed to see me to get my cancellation in writing, it was beyond my grace period and she gave me a blank piece of paper to write a statement on and sign. She assured me she would file the cancellation and it would be ok. However, here it is a month later and the first payment was taken out of my bank account... contract not canceled. Whatever you do DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT. SinglesPlus will not honor a refund for any reason even if it's a legitimate reason. If you have to move for a job if it's not in their servicing area it does not matter how much of the service that you have used they will not even consider giving you a refund. The reason they give is because of the contract that you sign. It states according to them that there is no refund and gthey mean that. The owner of the Mt. Pleasant company stated this and it is an exact quote "We will do our best to find a compatible service for her to be transferred to once she shares with us her new address. If no transfer is available as per paragraph 17 SinglesPLUS will cease sending referrals with no refund due". The service that you pay for cost anyway from $1895 for 4 referrrals and $2495 for 6 referrals. That is alot of money for a service for them to be so unreasonable as far as refundsgo. unfortunately there are no negative stars that i can offer as a rating for one of the most deplorable organizations on the planet. after signing up, i decided to check out what i had just spent my money on and discovered that they have a pattern of not delivering what they promised. the bbb gave them in my mind what was a very unsatisfactory rating and had i checked them out prior to giving them money i would not be writing this review. i believe them to be a group of scam artists that are out just to get your money and offer nothing in return. i say to you keep your money in your pocket and find an alternative means to find a special someone for your life read more
