The reception staff is very unorganized. While waiting for an hour for them to find my little…read moresister's file (she's been going here for years, shouldn't be so hard to find it), I could overhear the other receptionists either complaining about the people that call their office or repeatedly saying, "I don't know". A task this office has difficulty with is keeping correct information in one place where it's easy to find, and finding things out. We were only there for the third Gardasil shot, a shot that only took two seconds to administer yet thanks to how unorganized and unprofessional staff it was an hour wait. I should have learned from our last visit here when scheduled for the second Gardasil shot, a clerical mistake almost resulted in my twelve year old sister getting a Depo shot (the year round birth control shot). The nurse also had to watch a video on her cell phone to know how to give a shot. Save yourself the trouble and just go to a real clinic.

To be fair, I cannot rate the Coquille ER "as a whole," as a 1- star; However, there is one…read moreparticular ER physician who works there that we have seen a handful of times that definitely has earned this 1 star rank. We have not seen any other er physician in there but him so far. He was extremely dismissive (spent approx. 1-2 minutes (wish I were exhaggerating) during the checkup and offered no testing. Condescending tone and rude. If you go there, sure hope you get someone else-just a fair warning.

I have had a lot of emergency room visits in my lifetime, different cities, states even, and this…read moreemergency room visit was the worst I've ever experienced. ALL BECAUSE OF ONE PERSON. The Dr. The lady at the front desk check in was so nice, so complaints there. The nurse that took me to a room and got me set up to see the dr was the kindest, most helpful woman. Glowing, good vibes from her. This Dr came into the room and right off the bat had the absolute worst bedside manner. At first i was shocked so i didn't really even say much. It was hard to try and get the words out of why i was even there. He was so rude i was literally speechless. I looked over at the nurse and tried to just repeat everything that i had told her so easily 10 minutes prior. Finally got most of it out and he responds with "well what would you like me to do about it" It just kept getting worse all in a matter of minutes. So i decided to take off the finger monitor/blood pressure cuff and say i'm done here, i'm just going to go drive further away (to coos bay) to go to their E.R. Then he has the audacity to look at me shocked! And the nurse immediately came over and helped me up and out to get the discharge papers and once he wasn't anywhere near us she said "i am so sorry" All because of that one dr my family and i will never go back to CVH. We will gladly drive the extra distance to another hospital. I don't even want to risk running into this man again. You know what they say, one bad seed can rot the whole plant well thats how i feel about this situation. Sad really because he was the only problem with the whole visit but he was just that bad that all of the other people/the place couldn't even outweigh the bad of that one person. ***MD BRETT GREENE***
