I want to begin by acknowledging a positive aspect of this firm: the front office staff is…read moreconsistently friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. That level of courtesy does not go unnoticed. However, my experience as the executor of my mother's estate has been deeply frustrating and, at times, disheartening. Following my mother's passing, I never had the opportunity to meet with an attorney to review or discuss the estate. Instead, all of my communication was handled through a legal assistant. While she was kind and personable, I was repeatedly given information that was inaccurate regarding the legal requirements for closing the estate. On multiple occasions, I was told that certain documents were required to be prepared by an attorney in the state of Michigan. This was simply not true. The documents in question can, in fact, be completed by an individual and properly notarized without legal representation. The first document I requested was a Certificate of Trust. I was advised that this document must be completed by an attorney and that most title companies require it. Knowing this was incorrect, I still chose to proceed with the firm preparing the document for the sake of efficiency. While I do not regret that decision, I do find it troubling that such misrepresentations are made--especially to individuals who may be navigating grief and unfamiliar legal processes at a vulnerable time. A second document was also prepared under the same premise--that it required an attorney's involvement. Again, this was inaccurate. This document is publicly accessible and can be completed without legal assistance. When I was unable to locate it on my own, my bank was able to guide me through the process without difficulty. This further underscored the unnecessary nature of the service I was led to believe I needed. I find this pattern of misrepresentation not only unprofessional, but deeply disappointing given the circumstances under which many clients seek estate services. Families deserve transparency, honesty, and guidance they can trust. A fair resolution, in my view, would be a refund for the second document. Unfortunately, my attempts to address this directly have gone unanswered, as I have not received return calls from the legal assistant. In closing, I strongly encourage anyone serving as an executor to thoroughly research their responsibilities and options. It is important to understand that not all documents require legal preparation, and informed decisions can help avoid unnecessary expenses during an already difficult time. It is truly unfortunate to feel this level of doubt when seeking professional legal guidance.

Mannor law group assisted us with our parents affairs after my fathers two strokes. As my mothers…read morehas Alzheimer's we found that we needed to find an assisted living facility for them. Rachel was unbelievably helpful in planning and placement to a wonderful apartment facility. After the initial placement, Mannor law firm then helped us to navigate the many different branches of government so that my parents would receive the maximum help available to them. I am convinced that the average person could not effectively navigate these systems. Mannor Law then had Eric, another specialist who works with them, help us apply to the V.A. for retirement benefits for my father. Initially my father was turned down but Eric (like the rest of the members of Mannor Law) just doesn't give up and after a lot of his work, my father did receive the benefits. In short, we went to Mannor Law somewhat lost and not knowledgeable enough to effectively take care of our parents as we wanted to. Mannor Law accomplished so much more than we could have without them and better than that, what they accomplished paid for their services in less than one year! Using Mannor Law was by far one of the best decisions that I have ever made!

Do NOT and i REPEAT DO NOT use these people ever !!!! They will take YOUR money and do nothing!!!…read moreIf you include your vehicle you will still lose it just like that is happening to us now!!!!! BEWARE of these people!!!! !!!!!! And the communication is HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Talking to Michelle Marrs the first time she was very friendly and just coming back from vacation …read more I was filing for bankruptcy and she talked me into a chapter 13 because we had IRS debt . I asked her how much this would cost and she told me $4500 and $600 to get started . Well , to make a long story short we ended up on a payment plan with trustee that we have to make payments to every month. I also owned a business and she told me to stop paying all my bills. So I did, of course when everything was said and done I was getting late notice istill from a business loan that I had and I told her I had stopped paying that, and she told me then oh, I shouldn't have stopped paying that one, but she never made that clear in the beginning so they are very wishy-washy. Again, poor communication They were very slow. I think we started my case in like February and I don't think we filed until like July . All of that time she had like three different people working on my case and asking for the same things twice or three times that I had already sent to one of their people and they had no communication between them so I ended up sending it two or three times so very frustrating and probably is what added to my bill that I wasn't aware of because in the end because i hadn't kept paying the loan builder loan the trustee thought when that payment was done of course I'd have $300 a week available to pay them more and she had to go in and file paperwork so my payment wouldn't go up substantially . I don't know what paper work she had to do to keep my payment the same , but of course that only took like a week but , that cost me another like $1200 which she did not communicate with me about or ask if that would be okay with me . I thought it might be a couple hundred dollars not $1200 . I would request one person to work on your case and keep track of your minutes I suppose and don't communicate with them more than you have to. They will charge you for every little second you called them and of course things took twice as long as they would have because they she had two people working on my case besides herself And both people asking for the same things I would just use a different lawyer and I would not file a chapter 13 again if I didn't have to, I'd want more things clear from the beginning and signed and she told me $4500. It ended up being over 7000 and then having to pay on the IRS they will wipe out all back taxes except forvthe last three years . I'm probably gonna be making payments. I don't even know how long five years or more which was what I wanted to get away from for was why I was filing bankruptcy wasn't to get into more payments. It was to not have any payments just beware.

I honestly cannot say enough positive things about attorney Darrin…read more I was looking for a lawyer to assist my son in appealing the SSA ruling denying his claim for Disability status and benefits. Attorney Darin has many, many positive reviews on his web page and so I chose to contact him. From the very beginning attorney Darrin proved to be knowledgeable, compassionate and very dedicated to my son's case. He took the time to explain the appeals process in detail and in plain language that was understandable to my son. The appeal case that attorney Darrin built was strong and fact based. He was an excellent advocate for my son's clear need for SSA disability benefits. Attorney Darrin's attention to detail and regular communication with me was superb and appreciated. Thanks to attorney Darrin's hard work, knowledge, expertise and wisdom, my son's appeal was successful! This has made a huge difference in my son's life and in helping me to plan for his future. I, without reservation, highly recommend Darrin Andrus for any person looking to secure legal assistance in the area Social Security Disability benefits applications/appeals.
