Are we in heaven?!…read more I'm from out of town and I've been wanting to pop into Lundeen's for a while now with the expectation that it was just a cute little small town stationery shop. No big deal. It looks tiny on the outside, but the further in you go, the more this shop unfolds into a huge emporium of scintillating goodies. When I walked in, there were books. Books?! Gorgeous childrens' books, (millennial) classics I haven't seen for sale in ages (I Spy, The Rainbow Fish, Where's Waldo), there were beautiful cookbooks, chic plant books, educational books, bird books, frog books, books wrapped up in gift paper ready to be someone's surprise read (Blind Date with a Book!), and two little childrens' reading nooks up a couple of stairs at the front of the store! After the books there were games, toys, puzzles, candy, gifts. And then I realized, this place is HUGE. In the back of the store there's a full on Office Depot situation but only the good stuff, plus a print shop. Ink, paper, cardstock, accounting pads, payroll sheets, carbon paper, large poster boards, folders, pens, highlighters, calculators, clips, tacks, and knick knacks. Prismacolor pencils! The good erasers. The good pencil sharpeners. Graph paper. Transfer paper. Sketch pads. Velum! Fine point markers. Like, high end art store stuff. And then. And THEN. I looked to the side of the store and there ANOTHER opening to a jewelry store! And once you go in there, you see an entirely other part of this store that is just as big as the place you just walked out of. Oh yeah, the stationery! They've got beautiful art on single pieces or card sets, but they've got purses, wallets, decor, kitchen stuff, seasonal towels, aprons, plates, mugs, souvenirs, lip gloss, candles, hot pepper jelly, a whole aisle of Burt's Bees, more kid stuff; they even have a little room dedicated to the clearance section. I don't know a lot about this shop, but I can only assume some of this is locally made and a bunch of vendors have their stuff there? Anyway, budget a couple hours and go peruse this place. The shopping here rivals boutiques in the big city, but with all the charm of Fergus Falls.

Great staff, variety of merchandise, excellent selection of local subject books and local authors…read moreand artist work. Their printing department is my go-to for anything of that nature and are always top quality, fast, and helpful. Shout-outs to Kevin & Paul :)

What a special, special place. And it's all free…read more I'll be honest, I was not all too thrilled about coming here, but I could've spent all day here. Too bad I only had an hour here before they closed because I felt I needed at least two. Terry Redlin's work is spectacular. You can see and feel the heart and soul in each and every one of his paintings. And his talent is incredible, truly unmatched. I especially enjoyed his America The Beautiful series and His First series. And I have to note that the ladies working here are so sweet and such a delight. They were all helpful and just absolute dolls. Make sure to buy something from the gift shop or one of his pieces as this is how they stay in business.

Being only remotely familiar with Terry Redlins work we decided to stop at his Museum on our way to…read morePierre. As we entered we were warmly greeted by the female director who explained everything the Museum has to offer including 3 separate galleries, 160 original oil paintings & 3 gift shops. There is no admission fee & you can likely spend 1 - 1.5 hours looking & browsing. We were amazed at all of his beautiful paintings & reading about his journey through life not to mention the many, many awards he had received over decades of his work. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our time here & we both became big fans of Terry Redlin the artist & Terry Redlin the man.
