What a special, special place. And it's all free. I'll be honest, I was not all too thrilled about coming here, but I could've spent all day here. Too bad I only had an hour here before they closed because I felt I needed at least two. Terry Redlin's work is spectacular. You can see and feel the heart and soul in each and every one of his paintings. And his talent is incredible, truly unmatched. I especially enjoyed his America The Beautiful series and His First series. And I have to note that the ladies working here are so sweet and such a delight. They were all helpful and just absolute dolls. Make sure to buy something from the gift shop or one of his pieces as this is how they stay in business. read more

Being only remotely familiar with Terry Redlins work we decided to stop at his Museum on our way to Pierre. As we entered we were warmly greeted by the female director who explained everything the Museum has to offer including 3 separate galleries, 160 original oil paintings & 3 gift shops. There is no admission fee & you can likely spend 1 - 1.5 hours looking & browsing. We were amazed at all of his beautiful paintings & reading about his journey through life not to mention the many, many awards he had received over decades of his work. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our time here & we both became big fans of Terry Redlin the artist & Terry Redlin the man. read more

This place is awesome! My mom is a huge Redlin fan and when I was in the area for work, I decided to finally stop by. The workers there are incredibly polite and friendly. The woman waiting at the desk walked me through the various levels before I started my self-guided tour. Redlin created some great art and now I have some souvenirs for my own house. read more

We were really looking forward to seeing the art center. We checked the website and yelp says they are open. We arrived and the sign says open on Sundays too. However they are closed on Sundays from January - March. We drove 2 hours to see this and very sad they didn't inform us their winter hours were different. There was also two other cars in the parking lot who thought they were open. read more

Just moved to SD & heard about the Redlin Art Center. Was very impressed with it! Did not expect an art gallery like this in SD. Everyone was extremely helpful & welcoming. Will be back for sure! read more

I must admit, I didn't know who Terry Redlin was, but once I got inside, I recognized his artwork. There is no fee (no pictures allowed), I lost track of time, there was so much to see, videos, early artwork, a massive gift shop, I'm looking for an excuse to go back, definitely worth a visit! read more
