If you provide honest communication and helpful updates, everybody wins by being on the same team! So service could be improved ! I did not receive that business acumen by being THEIR customer, that's for sure!
Selection was at fault because even though I bought a dresser off the SALES FLOOR as part of a 4pc set, it was damaged in loading and a foot broken off necessitating more wait time than necessary, and who knows WHEN is not a service- oriented answer in the furniture delivery business.
Value- the most valuable commodity in that store is the customer because w/o him/her the merchandise will not sell. The business thrives on the money that is exchanged for goods and for the services like cleaning and repair and extended warranties the store guarantees. If there are no sales, there is no commerce or reason for that building. Value is in the product and the company's promise to stand behind what they are selling as safe, reliable, quality pieces and in timely delivery dates and honest employees who will translate the store owner's policies and business ethics in every transaction. Failure in even one instance will spread online to infect hundreds who read and are informed by reviews instead of having to experience unfair or bad business practices themselves and can then make better choices where/how to spend their dollars. We are a network of consumers who have dealt with scammers, unsafe products, ruthless salespeople, and it has become routine to know ahead of the experience what, where, why, and how to buy products that result in the BEST possible way. We will tell what we know, experience, and frankly, that has saved hundreds of thousands millions of dollars and helped to weed out bad actors in the economy we all share a part in! So when I explain that service and sales were both faulty at Direct Home Furnishings where I spent $6400 in July, rec'd less than sales in slats for a twin bed, never rec'd a dresser that I bought off the sales floor, due to breakage at the warehouse on loading it for delivery, I caution anyone from experiencing a like situation if you shop there!
My husband talked to the Owner about the problems, and his losing $5,000 in mattress sales, and hopefully after two months, he said I should see the dresser in two more weeks! We'll see if the practices start at the top this way, I guess, or if the business is just endemic itself. Furniture selling is mark up and mark down all month long!
YES this business COULD improve, SHOULD improve, BETTER improve because WORD(s) get around!
