This is a good spot to pickup a few groceries, and/or also a hot meal from the grill in back. This location ceased selling gasoline many years ago, however. The proprietor is very sociable and accommodating, making for a welcoming atmosphere. I recommend this shop, and plan on returning whenever I'm in the area again.

Thus, the convenience of having a viable food store in the Helena-West Helena area cannot be overstated. Given that, the prices here are usually pretty high. Service here has been hit-or-miss, with some employees acting as if they could care less about customers. Given the very limited choices in the area, this is actually a better alternative than the Walmart, located just down the road. This grocery store features several different specialty departments, including: grocery, meat, produce, bakery, and deli. I usually stop by here whenever I'm in the area, if only to pick up a snack and a beverage for the road.

I started off with the Raspberry Lemon Drop martini and was floored by how delicious it was. Their martinis are made with vodka instead of gin and, for someone with a preference for a softer alcohol palette, this was simply perfection. Squeezing the extra bit of lemon juice in it from the lemon slice really sealed the deal. I then ordered the Salted Caramel Espresso martini and maaaaannnn...I could have melted right there in my seat! It was a perfect dose of coffee chocolate joy in a glass! The drink was equally beautiful in presentation and palatability. Every time I visit, I find a new favorite drink and these absolutely fit the bill!

Right off the main drag in downtown Helena, Delta Dirt owners Harvey + Donna have really brought new life and craft cocktails to the area. What looks to be a full renovation of the space, DD has a great, open and inviting space to stop in for cool drink on a hot day. You walk in and can immediately smell the toasted sweet potatoes! We were able to get a quick tour of the distillery process and you can tell the Williams are extremely passionate about their product down to the very specific details in labeling, honoring their family's legacy and connection to Helena. All the spirits were excellent but the gin was the star of the show. Clean tasting, smooth, slighty sweet, with no bite, everyone our group took a bottle to go. Our favorite drink was the cucumber martini, and we'll all be trying to recreate that magic when we make it home! Ha! If you get the chance, definitely stop in to try this local award winning distiller and you will not be disappointed!!!!

The store was warehouse looking but nice size. The drink cases were room temperature, I got ice from the fountain section and they didn't charge me. I didn't want Pepsi products. There was a section with tables and chairs and a Chester's Fried Chicken. There was a post office at the end of the building.
