You walk into his home and you feel like you're transported into the good old 90's and 80's decade. Laurens has done many many bouquets for various events. The good thing is that Laurens is not picky- he's your consultant and will give you suggestions, even if the customer may not have good color taste. He may gently show you other bouquets, but seeing people put orange and blue bouquets to represent Auburn, I guess he doesn't beat hard on "wacky" flower tastes. Laurens will start off with albums and describe to you how bouquets are put together like loose or tight, small or large blossoms, and contrast vs uniformity in a bouquet. You pick the bouquets you like best and he notes the characteristics you like best. From there, he can suggest cheaper or pricier blooms while maintaining the overall look you like. For example, I like thick blooms and peonies are very expensive, so he introduced to me a ranunculus which has a very unique papery thick bloom. He will keep budgets in mind and yet not sacrifice quality of your flowers. On my wedding day, the flowers were immaculate and they even lasted 1-2 weeks in water, ensuring that he orders the best for your big day. Large bouquets for the bride range about 120-200$. Flowers in the center of every table is about 50-100$. Each bridesmaid is about 50$ and the boutannieres or corsages are all about 20$ each. There is also a charge of service fee to set up and Laurens actually stays throughout your wedding to ensure moving of floral pieces if that is required. He is super nice, humble, chill, and easy going. You wont feel pressured and he is very attentive to detail. Keep in mind, that if you don't speak up for expert opinion, he won't be pressuring you to keep away from an unsightly bouquet. So, I highly recommend always asking for feedback, b/c he knows his stuff!

Being out of state, I just googled nearby florists and stumbled across them. She asked if the loved one's obituary was posted at the funeral home and she read it while we talked about flowers and colors. Reading that the loved one was involved for years with a tulip organization, she had the perfect flowers in mind from her supplier. The arrangement was absolutely beautiful and she was so very thoughtful to locate the perfect flowers. As my friend is a fashion designer and was invited to participate in a fashion show there. Unfortunately I couldn't attend the event, so I decided to show my support by sending a bouquet of flowers for her and the models. I found Designs in Flowers online, the Google reviews were decent, so I place my order. My instructions for delivery were very detailed. As it was a surprise I couldn't tell my friend to keep an eye out for a delivery. So, I included in the instructions her name, the name of her company, her phone number & the delivery time. I received an e-mail confirmation stating my order was complete. And would be delivered promptly on Saturday afternoon to the venue given. Fast forward to Saturday...I am awaiting a phone call from my friend to say "Thank you for the flowers" But she never called, which isn't like her at all. However I figured she was busy attending to her models and creations, that she forgot to call me. But when I didn't hear anything from her on Sunday morning, I text her to ask if she received my surprise. She said "What surprise?" I told her I sent a bouquet of Congratulation flowers for her and the models to the venue. She made me aware she NEVER RECEIVED ANY FLOWERS. Designs in Flowers were closed on Sunday, so my annoyance had time to fester, before I called to find out what happened. The store opened at 8:00a.m., I was on the horn calling at 8:03a.m. An employee by the name of Leon answered the phone. I gave him my name and the name of my friend to whom the flowers were sent for. My connection was poor, so I had to repeat myself a few times which further annoyed me. I told him the order I placed never was delivered to my friend. He told me "Yes, the delivery was made. I personally delivered that order myself." I asked..."Were they delivered to the name on the instructions?" This slow m0+h3rf_ _ _ er said " I gave them to a lady setting up the chairs." I thought to myself...Self, why would a fashion designer be setting up chairs at a fashion show? I asked..."Did you ask her if she was the person to whom the delivery was for?" By now my voice & attitude is aggressively nasty towards him. As his incompetence ruined my surprise. My questions and tone must've irritated him because he cussed at me then stated he'd give me a refund. He had the audacity to be upset with me for being annoyed that he delivered the flowers to the incorrect person. All the while he had her phone number & name to verify who he gave the delivery to. But he didn't use either of them, so he must've thought I was trying to get over on him as he called my friend to see if she didn't receive the delivery. After she made him aware she didn't receive any flowers, he called me back to apologize for his lack of professionalism earlier during our conversation. And he would gladly refund the amount owed. If I could give this company a negative stars I would. It was the simple fact I included everything needed for this to be a smooth transaction. But he neglected to use common sense which ruined my surprise.
