We purchased a king size mattress in September, within 3 weeks it began to sag on both sides where we sleep. I called the company 3 times before they responded and sent someone out to check this out. They came Today, Dec. 2 and all he said was "the mattress is responding to bad box springs", no one said anything about this when they made the sell just 2 months ago. This mattress is already worse than the one we replaced! He left and gave me one option - purchase new box springs I have been a customer of this place for 25 years but they showed no concern for me today. I bought a sofa and 7 months later the fabric started piling, and the armrest cushions were wearing out. I called the manager And they came and picked up my furniture. A couple days later I received a phone call stating my furniture was fixed and the fabric piling is not abnormal. When I got my furniture back it looked like I had it for several years and looked very worn I only had it for 7 months. The manager shaved the entire seating area of the couch. I called the manager and told him that I was displeased with the outcome of my furniture. He told me that he did not think the couch looked bad and said the only other thing he could do was to sell me ANOTHER couch for Lee's than cost. My couch is only 7 months old and not holding up and his solution to this problem was to sell me ANOTHER COUCH. I called Lazy Boy Coorperate and they told me they would contact him and try to come up with a better solution. I was contacted back by Lazy Boy and they told me that because Sit N Sleep is not a corporate store they can not force them to do anything. So I now own a brand new couch that looks like I have had it for years. DO NOT BUY FROM Sit N Sleep. They DO NOT stand behind there furniture. read more

Meet the Manager: Cody C.

Sit 'n Sleep was founded in 1985 by Delores Patterson Carter and Jim Reid Carter. The Carter's graduated from of Carrollton High School in 1967 and later graduated form the University of Georgia. Out of college, Jim sold mattresses and hide-a-bed sofas to furniture dealers for Simmons, Jamison, and Serta for over eleven years. He believed that a furniture store specializing in mattresses, recliners and sleeper sofas would flourish in Carrollton. With a lot of family encouragement, the Carters started in the old White's Auto building owned by Clyde Cook. Sit 'n Sleep sits behind Burger King on Bankhead highway in Carrollton, Georgia. Today Jim and his daughter, Susan Carter Hirvela, run the store together along with the store manager Cody Cash.

I know that this is a long review but I'm asking you to take one minute of your time and read this…read morebefore you do business with Chandler's furniture!!!! what ever you do...do not buy furniture from this place! We have been buying furniture from here for years and have never had a problem like we have had this previous time! I had ordered furniture from here I was supposed it had delivery the day after thanksgiving.. They showed at Thanksgiving day!! I only just about A week ago got all of my furniture! We ordered over $4000 worth of furniture on our last purchase and it took them 6 deliveries to finally complete my order! The owner did nothing but lie to me I have voicemail after voicemail of this man "JEFF" has left me saying delivery will be today and they never show up oh I'm sorry delivery will be today never show up! Never returns my calls! In order to get anybody to talk to me I would have to call and just as rude as you could possibly be with someone! Which is completely out of my character! Stressful sums up my experience with this company! This was supposed to be fun not stressful!!! I got nothing but lies and more lies! Then a mattress that we had bought from them a few years ago is defective! They scheduled two times to come out here and look at the mattress and never showed up! Now they're telling me that I need to load the mattress on my truck and bring the mattress to them and they will exchange it for a regular mattress not a memory foam! Do you know the price difference between a memory foam mattress and a coil mattress! But at this point what choice do I have? Am I'm going to keep this mattress no one can sleep on OR go ahead and get a mattress that is a coil mattress that at least can be slept on! I have never dealt with such unprofessional people as I have in this experience and I am so thankful that it's over other than taking the mattress back! Hell it probably won't even be over then !! I'm sure they'll give me some kind of trouble to keep from having to do what's right!!just remember 5 to 6 deliveries spending day after day calling calling calling being put on hold being lied to!! We took off work , canceled plans all to make sure we were home and we didn't leave the house on 11 different occasions due to scheduled appts for delivery then they wouldn't show up ??! I know you think I'm exaggerating and that there's no way that could possibly happen but I promise you it's the truth!!! Hell it's unbelievable even to me!!!! I know this is a long review but I hope you took time to read it and really understand the stress that I have been through with this company! I even filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and still haven't heard anything back from these people! I don't know how his company is in business !?? I guess because people already give them their money like I did and then have to deal with this but I assure you there's no way he can be getting repeat customers so eventually his doors will close!! I assure you I had nothing but problems with them and Honestly this is probably leading up to small claims court! Good luck!

I noticed both associates were involved with personal phone calls and I was the only customer in the store. One finally assisted me as I was trying to pick out furniture for a new home which was difficult since I did not know exact measurements. This was a very expensive investment and I wasn't going to just walk in and select everything in 10 minutes which is exactly what I think they wanted me to do. They could not answer simple basic questions about furniture and i had to ask everything. They provided no information willingly despite me telling them exactly what I wanted. Even Items such as a desk seemed beyond their knowledge. They showed me 1 and said it was the only one they had but walking the store, I found several they apparently did not know was on the floor. The preoccupied couple finally vanished altogether and I had to go looking for them to let them know I appreciated whatever time they begrudgingly spent with me. Again, they were rude and dismissive. I was ready to spend in excess of 20 grand. Too bad for them and I hope they work on commission because I have met more competent and professional garbage men. No insult intended to garbage men as they do a great service which cannot be said for the staff at badcock. Oh, I wonder if it was the fact i was paying cash/charge. They seemed really disappointed that I refused financing. Perhaps that's the customers that make them more??? I feel badly for those who finance since I'm sure the interest rates are over the moon as I kept seeing NO Credit turned down signs. Just horrible experience altogether and will not ever go back or recommend to anyone.

If you want to do some shopping for some food or maybe just some shopping for a bite to eat, then this is your spot. You'll come into the market but you have to worry about parking because it's not free but if you're in the city you already know that. They have a validation for parking system there so you can make sure you use that, which is right by the door. There's also other places to park, which is street parking, that you could use your park mobile app as well if you'd prefer to do that or if the parking lot is full. This market has tons of items and things and anything you could think of for the most part. If you are feeling steak or Caribbean food then this is your spot to go to. If you just want some French fries or some oxtail then this is going to be a great place for it as well. There's a myriad of different stalls that you can buy food at that are ready. There's also places that you can actually buy fresh meat and seafood to cook at home. If you're trying to figure out where to go for some steaks or some oxtails or shrimp, you should check this out for sure. So overall I would say this is definitely a spot you should for sure try if you're trying to try some new dishes or if you want to buy some food to make at home. If you're trying to find something that's similar to an Asian market, for example, something off Buford Highway, this would be a good spot to check out. Picking up a couple of steaks and some shrimp is easy work for a spot like this. I actually would probably go for a holiday situation to where I was buying meat to put on the grill. If you don't want to get locked into something like Publix, this is a good spot so just keep that in mind.
