There was one very minor incident with the walkers letting our dog's leash get caught around a light in our home and it knocked over, but they immediately let us know and sent pictures of the damage and the clean-up. We picked up a dog from a rescue this weekend, and needed a dog walker ASAP. We called several places at about 8 pm on Sunday night, thinking we would strike out. Kelly from Sitter4Paws called promptly Monday Morning, and fit us in for a walk at noon. She sent me everything she needed, and I let her know where we'd left a key. The bookings are for 30 minutes, but our dog as rescued is overweight and low energy, so they gave her a 15 minute walk per our request, and offered to spend the other 15 minutes playing with her (her version of playing is more like sitting and getting pets). We received an email right afterward talking about how she did on her walk and with a picture of her looking happy and relaxed. I have teased friends about getting email updates before, but it was so cute and much appreciated for us, as she is brand new with our family. I am so happy to have found Sitter4Paws and will be directing all future business there. They were responsive, professional, and obviously good with Heidi. read more

Juan Carlos and Kelly are amazing. We're so happy we found them. They would either come 2-3 times a day for 30 minute sessions or once a day for 60 minute session. Bella loved her walks with them. They would walk her, play with her, clean up after her and send text updates along with a photo. Our yard was super muddy when it rained but Kelly played with Bella inside our house to burn off the puppy energy. We always felt that Bella was in good hands with them. They love dogs and are amazing with them. And, they are very accommodating with last minute booking requests. I genuinely feel like Kristin S and Keith S. love my dog and go above / beyond on a daily basis to make sure he's a happy guy. Sitter4Paws WLA - These people were a vast improvement over the other cat sitter's I used called Fetch! Pet Care. Actually you can read my other review of that place, which was pretty much zip, zero. Here's why I gave it 4 stars, (unlike that other pet sitter), Sitter4Paws WLA followed my instructions and he did NOT urinate elsewhere outside his litterbox, which means they actually read my instructions to sift the litter really really good and that was a HUGE WIN for me (standing ovation there). Not coming home to cat urine on my bed or around the litter box was such a relief. Yep, see the other review of the "other" cat sitter, how nasty that experience was... Anyways, each day I got a nice email review which was pretty awesome. I love seeing the folks taking care of my cat actually take time to write a daily report. They said they are supposed to send pics each visit, but I did not get that consistently. But the pics I did get were very very thorough, notably by Kristin. She was one of a couple people who watched him while I was away, I can't recall the others because she was the one who signed her reports, so kudos to her. The one guy said he thought it was too dark, which was his logic, but that is what lights are for in the bedroom, hmmm. A couple minor things I will mention but it was not a showstopper. They would still be on my list to watch my cat again. I will list out improvements which is why they didn't get the full 5 stars. But 4 stars is still good, because I'm 'that customer', really meticulous and finicky. Areas to improve: 1- I specifically asked to cover the food cans. There were 2 cans in the fridge, one can was covered (not sure why there were 2 unused cans), but the other 3/4 new can was partially left open in the fridge and was not covered. I thought to myself, that person clearly doesn't have a pet, because why would you leave an open can exposed to air in the fridge?? To me, it was just nasty not to cover the food can leaving the food to dry up which is not the point of 'wet' food. 2- Someone left my light on in the hallway, my blinds were open, so at night, it's like, Hellllooooo Dolly, everyone please look inside my apartment... Before I left, I intentionally left the blinds open so my cat could look outside while I was away. I had the lights off, especially for at night (and just had night lights on the floor area), but whoever was there left the hallway light on. My LA apartment is not that big, so even having one light on, it's like a fish bowl at night. 3- There was a misunderstanding by me, that they actually don't take the keys (I had a lockbox on the door). So each day in my workshop I had to keep buzzing them in. For longer trips and if on business that is no bueno, but for shorter trips I can probably manage. Again, I overlooked that in their agreement -- so that's mybad. Other than that they did a pretty thorough job of taking care of my kitty son. And yes, I would use them again. read more

This group is wonderful! I am a traveling nurse and was only in LA for three months, so I needed a company that would help me three days a week during my very long days. They were very thorough, followed instructions, and I always received a few fun photos on the days I used their service. I signed up for the 3x/week 1 1/2 hour hike. A few times my dog explored the trash while I wa gone and it was always cleaned up, which I really appreciated! Contact was super easy. I had texting communication often with Kelly at the Westside location and she was quick and responsive. I was nervous about leaving our baby kitten to go on a trip because we had just rescued her... but I spoke with Kelly on the phone, and Juan came to our house to meet us before we left - you can just tell they are great people and animal lovers. I've used Sitter4Paws two times so far and each experience has been excellent. The sitters that work for Sitter4Paws are extremely professional, transparent and they communicate with their clients very well. I haven't had any troubles booking a sitter during peak holiday times, but I try to book ahead just in case! My two cats are on a raw diet that requires a little more attention to detail than just leaving dry food out and checking water. During the initial meet & greet, our sitter took detailed notes and we were confident that our cats' routines wouldn't be too different while we were away. I love getting email updates and photos after each visit. This past time, our sitter PATRICK M. really went over and above during each visit. Unfortunately for him, one of my cats is terrified of men but Patrick tried his best to make it work. He kept us posted on everything he tried to engage our cat and even left the apartment for a few minutes with food out to see if that would work. He expressed genuine concern for our cat when our cat was refusing food over several days. I originally contacted Sitter4Paws for boarding, however they don't have a lot of space for that since they board the dogs at home (which is cool!). I instead got a morning and evening dog walk for the weekend I was out of town. I set up a lockbox and sent info on how to get in, and the walkers took tons of pictures (even pix of my dog pooping for proof!) and sent them right at the end of the visit. This has been a great experience. I have 2 large rescue dogs. I work long hours and need mid-day help to let them out to potty, play, fresh water, and pick up the yard. I didn't hire for walking, my neighborhood is not conducive for that, so they need to be run in the yard. I have had so many great experiences, here are some highlights- - My dog was ill. The walker immediately contacted me. Super convenient, online scheduling for routine or "vacation" dog walks. We have been using the service for over a year now and our dogs love it when we go on vacation. Prices are very reasonable for the service and we enjoy the updates and pictures which get sent after each walk. We have had a few sporadic challenges with walks happening outside the requested walk periods, but the company has been quick to respond and resolve. read more

I moved to the West Side from the valley and needed a pet sitter for my cat Toby over Christmas on short notice. Some other sitters were booked, but Sitter4Paws was available. Their website is easy to use. They sent over a person to take notes on how he should be cared for, and he explained how you leave a key box outside for the pet sitter to gain access to my apartment. He even showed me which one to get on Amazon. When I was on vacation, I received an email about the pet sitters visit each day, and they sent pictures of Toby which is nice. Each day there seemed to be a new sitter, but each one was thorough in their email about the care that they gave Toby. He needs oral medicine, and every sitter showed a picture of the medicine syringe so you know he got the proper amount. With a previous pet sitter company I used I was able to meet the pet sitter in person before they took care of my cat. That was comforting to know who has access to my home. This seems to be a bigger operation, so I understand why you don't meet the sitters in person. Maybe you can, but I never did ask about it. I'll continue to use Sitter4Paws for my cat's care when I'm away from home. Thanks! read more
