We enjoyed speaking with Gabriel and would return there in a minute if we have any further problems with our car, which hopefully won't happen. We had to pay a $1400 deposit that she said would be refunded once the car was returned. The cars there are small on purpose. They get banged up by other cars and those polls to keep cars out. And the streets are so narrow. We only had 1 person in front of us in line. The initial transaction took 10 min and we checked out the car and was on our way to Marseille. Just to mentally prepare yourself, Marseille is a crazy town of drivers and small roads. It took 2 hours to drive 17 miles due to the construction. On the return of the car, we just gassed it up, dropped it off and the lady glanced at it and told us we were done. No receipt. Nothing. I hope i get my deposit back!!

Artichoke soup, Pea mousse (cold) and lamb were to be recommended, the chicken was too dry and not really inspiring. For dessert, I'd either recommend the Friandises with coffee (finally some good coffee at a good restaurant) or strawberries with cream (someone at another table had then and they looked delicious). All in all, fantastic experience if you can spend the buck and aim to avoid the tourist crowds in Lourmarin.

The hotel room was incredibly small and looked like it belonged on a psych ward. For paying over $300 a night can I at least get a painting or decoration instead of bare white walls? And if you are over 5'4" using the shower will be deeply problematic. I could not fit inside it or raise my arms. Let's not forget my amazing view of the parking lot, complete with cars honking. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! There are so many options in Aix, don't make the same mistake I did.

I stayed there September 12 and 13 of 2025 and the air conditioning was still not functioning. The staff at the front desk acted like it was a surprise the air was out. My husband asked for a fan which they did provide. The problem with the fan was that we needed to prop it in front of the windows to get the cool air in. At night time, there was loud music and bass playing. In order to sleep we needed to shut the windows, but couldn't because we roasted in the room. The bed in the room was the hardest mattress I have ever slept on and could not get a good nights sleep. The hotel itself is cute and quaint with nice furniture. There was more to be desired with the free breakfast. The coffee was not great and there wasn't a lot of good options in my opinion. My mother in law, father in law, and husband sat in the bar area. The bartender was there yet they had waited 15 initial minutes to get service/drinks/food. The place wasn't super busy so I was surprised that service was not top notch. The hotel says they are a five star establishment and at most they are a 2 or 3 star. Lastly, my husband and I laid out at the pool for a few hours. We ended up falling asleep on the chairs and woke up to a lot of bites all over our bodies. The hotel may need some bug control especially in the garden and pool area for no-seeums. I would not recommend this hotel to stay at nor would I stay here again.

There was a very nice, deep bathtub that I made good use of. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was good, maybe more on the okay side than on the great side. Still, it's better to have something rather than nothing! This place was very inexpensive, which was perfect for my budget because I don't have much to spend! I was really impressed at how nice this place was for the low price that they charge. If you want to travel to Aix-en-Provence, have a tiny budget- yet you still have high living standards, and you want to be in the middle of everything, this place is perfect!
