We had breakfast every morning which was delicious and ate at the Avo for dinner one night and we ordered drinks by the pool. All of which were incredibly delicious and with great service. The rooms were adorable with stunning views. They were clean and spacious. The hotel is far enough from the noise of the town but still close enough to walk. We loved it here so much that when our travel plans fell through a few days later, we came back to stay for more nights! We would absolutely come back again. This is a new (built in 2007) modern looking clean station with many shops and restaurants on the…read moresecond floor. It's located right next to Malaga main bus station. Later we learned on a rainy day there'd an underground pass linking the these two day trip transportation hubs. Taxi stand is right outside. Cab fare to our AC hotel was 6-8e. The second day after our arrival we walked safely and leisurely here in 20 minutes to catch an early morning train to Ronda for a day trip. Then a day trip to Granada the next day and finally took bus to Marbella after having breakfast here. We spent our last night here eating fast food because of the pouring rain outside. Took cab back to hotel after a long tiring day. It was a big part of our Malaga stay.

She picks you up,takes you to a wonderful picturesque village.....takes you on a tour which covers grown trees loaded with olives, then a museum and explains the history of olive oil in Spain. Then we had a tasting of 5 oils, 5 different wines, and bread, cheese, and hams all from the nearby villages. If you are going to Granada do this tour......my second most favorite thing was visiting the Alhambra.

Rented a bike from Malaga Bike today- excellent, efficient service…read more Rented a hybrid bike which was perfect for bike path and the sometimes-rough roads. They were helpful giving directions and advice on where to ride. Was a great way to spend an afternoon in Malaga.

My family had an excellent time on the Malaga Food Sherpa tour with Elysse. We started with a bit…read moreof history and then sat down just outside of the market so have some fried sardines and the tinto de verano. Even those in my family who were not fans of seafood enjoyed this dish. Our group then went into the market and had some samples of olives, almonds and figs. It was excellent. We then travelled for the Charcuterie plate and some vermouth and manzanilla. My choice was the manzanilla but the rest of the family enjoyed the vermouth. The Iberian ham and cheese were wonderful. We walked some more and went to the Malaga-centric food and wine restaurant--Eme Mariano. The red wine was excellent. We paired this with a Gazpachuelo--- fish soup--which was velvety in texture. We followed this with the best croquetas de jamón I have had during my time in Spain. A little further walk and we went to El Chinitas for red and white wine sampling. The fried eels was scrumptious followed by a mini-sandwich of Iberian pork shoulder. Again, excellent. On our tour we had two people from Latvia, two from Wales and six from the US. We shared our food adventures as well as our Spain highlights. I highly recommend this tour!

I'm glad we booked it as our guide have us the ins/outs, history, and must try places. In addition to the different food, wine, and experience. This is a must do when you first come to Malaga. They will give a lot of advice on which restaurants to go, which are tourist traps, and what to do. I can't recall but we went to 7 different restaurants to try the delicacies of Malaga along with wine.

When we went there for our evening meal I ordered the meal deal for 9 Euros, we had an entree of fresh bread rolls, salsa, chirizo and pate; I had starter of seafood soup which included a lovely soup with lots of prawns, muscles and fish and was given two portions by the waiter; for main I had the lasagne and dessert I had a homemade creme caramel. I enjoyed all of the courses and found it very very filling. We were also given a glass of whiskey each with the bill.
