The soup and noodles were light with punctuations of savory flavor provided by the BBQ pork and the won tons. I was immediately attended to and even given a whole jug of ice cold water. I know that doesn't mean much to some people, but I think it is a fine example of good customer service. Other places don't bother to serve you water and don't even care if the water is lukewarm. I was really satisfied with the meal, service, and the restaurant was well presented. I'll be happy to make another visit to sample the other items on the lunch menu.

Seating is limited, I guess the tables could be moved, but you'd be looking at maybe 4-8 being comfortable. It is right open to Boundary Road, so it will be noisy with multiple buses and heavy car traffic. However, I say this would make a good casual dinner between family or friends. Service was fast and attentive. The interior design is quite schmick, the crockery is divine, but the Coke fridge a little jarring. :) They've gone to effort to make it look good, and the food is good enough. I hope it survives as some times one just needs a few dumplings, and a Chinese dumpling is not a Japanese gyoza (which West End has one of also). Now I know what you're thinking, 'how can this be a great restaurant if it doesn't have it's own building'. Let me reassure you though, Siam Samrarn is a diamond in the rough. The first time I went to Siam Samrarn was with my sister and mother one Thursday evening. All three of us were astounded by the quality of the Thai food as we anticipated something mediocre at best. What we discovered however was the chefs at Siam Samrarn know things that other Thai chefs need to find out because the food was absolutely sensational! In addition, the service staff was extremely hospitable, ensuring that our glasses were always filled as we discussed at length the culinary triumphs that were laid out before us - before inevitably moving on to a drunken analysis of the family, the world and the location of the bathroom.
