Okay so it's a bit of an adventure to get there, but once you do you'll realize it was worth the journey. Let's preface this first by saying getting transportation to the location from the train station can be a challenge, especially coming back. There are plenty of cabs by the train station which will take you to the location, which is about 30 minutes away. You can call a cab after your trek to come pick you up afterwards, but it could be a challenge if say there aren't cabs in the area. It's POSSIBLE you could end up waiting around for a while after the tour. I do not recommend trying to take the bus, unless you're really comfortable with the bus schedule. The tour itself was awesome, our pups did a great job of towing us around. They are well trained and won't overpower your sled. With that being said, pay attention to the instructor when they show you how to operate the sled. The dogs will need your help going up hills and making turns. The staff are very professional and friendly. After the tour, they had stew and dough on a stick waiting for us. I was kind of confused by the dough wrapped around a stick thing, but apparently that's a thing in Norway, unless they just duped us since we're silly Americans. 100% recommend! Everyone was very friendly and made sure we had an excellent experience! Truly an unforgettable afternoon. We opted for the 15km sled which was about 1.5-2hours in the countryside. We took the train from Oslo to Lillehammer and then a 25 minute cab ride. The bus schedule wasn't coordinating for us on that day, but would have opted for it-- the walk from the busstop didn't look too far--probably 10-15 minutes on foot. Something they don't advertise is the offer rentals of body suits, which was perfect for us since this was our last stop on our Norway trip and didn't want to carry a bunch of luggage. Also best way to contact them is through Facebook, that was the fastest response time. This was top 5 coolest experiences I've had while traveling and we still talk about it!!! read more
