Birthday party area!
Chris W.

This was my first time here. The place is setup to host parties. The interior feels like Wray you expect from an old school roller rink curds 1980s that could turn into a glow in the dark or disco party at any moment. They host the party, serve the pizza, corral the kids into laser tag and make and serve the cotton candy tower for the kids. The arcade area is very limited and dated or I'd give it a 5 star.

My kiddos were invited here for a birthday party and had a blast, all of the kids there did. It's nice that the let you rent the little helpers, guides, (I'm not sure what you call those things) for those new to skating because holy moly there was definitely a lot of falling. Just make sure you keep them close to you because if you think you're going to walk away or go to bathroom and it'll still be there when you get back, think again.

I loved this trip because I am from Louisiana!! For the past 10+ years my husband and I have made a goal to skate in each state at least one time. This was my 1st time to skate in Ohio. I was impressed the floor was wood, which I prefer. I was on a road trip and just settled into my hotel for the night. When I soon realized there is a skate rink open nearby. I attend this rink on adult night. The night was packed full of great skaters. I had a blast, and the manager was very nice. This was a safe place for fun and exercise. The center of the rink was a chill zone, with stairs to allow the shoe traffic to cross safely. This place was a must return and skate again rink, great Job!!

The Saturday skating lesson 10-11 am is the Bee's knees! Ms. Kenny and Ms. Margery are the most uplifting affirming teachers. I can't stress this enough, no child is left behind! Ms. Kenny taught my old bones how to skate backward in 30 seconds.....lol. These lessons have students of all ages in all classes. The energy in class is so high, positive, and encouraging.

My family and I attended their New Years Eve party and were more than disappointed. Their advertisement states everyone must pay $12 because it's free pizza night UNLESS you are under 2 years old. Well that was not the case when we showed up. Yes my ONE YEAR OLD who wasn't skating had to pay $12 to get in because it was "free pizza night". Ridiculous. On top of the place being an absolute dump the staff was very unfriendly. By the time we made it back home we discovered our family had food poisoning from our "free/$12" pizza, not even joking. The health department was informed after a doctor confirmed. It's safe to say we will not be coming back here, ever. Nor will we never encourage friends and family to visit. I added a picture of their false advertisement.

This venue had a "queer" night (06/16/22) for pride weekend during pride month, but played no music relevant to the theme. No queer artists. No pride music. The flyer also advertised admission was $15 including skate rental, but I was charged $19.50 to enter. Very disappointed they exploited the LGBTQ+ community for profit.

Parking was easy - they have two small lots, as well as street parking. The open layout of the room was perfect for the amount of guests. The bakery case was full of beautiful European style treats, which gives me a good reason to return. They offer a limited cafe menu of breakfast items, sandwiches, and quiches on Thurs-Sat only. They also do afternoon tea service, by reservation only, on some limited weekdays. It is a popular venue for hosting local/special events and I can see why.

Plus there is a ton of parking alongside and in back. Order at the counter, a bit odd for a place this nice. Drool over the pastry case while you're there. The menu is interesting, with many good breakfast and lunch options. I went with a cup of the goulash and the salmon sandwich. The goulash was good, seasoned but not spicy, thick and meaty, with large chunks of tender beef. Perfect on a cold day. The salmon sandwich was perhaps not as fitting on a chilly day, but I love smoked salmon and had to try it. Large slabs of tasty salmon, a good bun, fresh toppings, a decent portion. Plus you get a fruit cup, which I chose, perfectly ripe pineapple plus good grapes (or you can have chips.) Service was friendly and fast, though minimal. Prices are pretty good for the quantity and quality. I was very tempted by the sweets, but we have plenty at home in this holiday season. They do have seasonal offerings and samplers/gift boxes of cookies, marzipan, etc.

Straight from their website: "MStyle is your best friend while your best friends are busy watching you get married to the love of your life. We aim to manage the stress of décor, venue set up, vendor coordination, and logistics so you can focus on what really matters." All that is true -- and so much more. I recently threw a 400-person fake wedding, and MStyle was my hero. I throw events all the time, so I originally thought, "Why in the world would I need a day-of planner?" But listen... there's just something so fantastic about being able to trust someone with your big day. I'm talking -- close your eyes, drop backward and know someone will catch you -- kind of trust. I mostly worked with Michelle for my wedding, and she and I were always on the same page. I love those people who catch on fast and can follow along with my crazy vision -- without having to repeat myself a bunch or slow down to explain every little detail. She would get excited right along with me, and she thought of all the pitfalls ahead of the event. On the day of the wedding, Michelle and I went through everything together, and then she ran with the plans. She literally handled everything and everyone. It was such a relief to actually be able to enjoy my own event! And double high fives to Molly for letting me throw a runway show at her at the last minute -- she knocked it out of the park. Seriously, nothing throws these ladies for a loop. They handle everything with grace. MStyle also has some decor rentals you can use for events. They have impeccable taste, so trust that whatever they bring -- it'll be beautiful. I 100% recommend Michelle and Molly to help with any event -- small or big, real or fake. In fact, I know I'll be hiring them to help me whenever I decide to throw my own real wedding!

Patti was so responsive and helped us through the whole process from start to finish. We chose the Civil Package, which was perfect for us. The music was exactly what we wanted! The photographers were also amazing and we got great pictures with just us and many with family members. All in all, I would definitely recommend! We felt very well taken care of and our day was perfect.

Unfortunately, the experience after booking and after the wedding became frustrating, and several important issues were never properly addressed. The first issue was with the package pricing. We only had two guests attending my mom and sister. We were told we had to book the next package tier because the smallest package did not allow guests, which cost about $200 more. During the wedding, Patty mentioned that because we only had two guests, we actually could have used the smaller package with just a small additional fee. However, when I followed up by email afterward asking about this, she denied ever saying that. That was disappointing and felt dishonest. The second major issue involved the photographer. Patti forgot to inform the photographer that we were scheduled, so the photographer arrived about 1.5 hours late. Because of this, many important pre-ceremony photos including dress photos, ring photos, and other moments getting ready had to be taken on a phone instead of professionally. We paid a significant amount for photography, so this was extremely frustrating. The delay also caused the rest of the session to feel rushed. Communication after the wedding was also poor. We were never given updates on when to expect our wedding photos, and I had to send multiple emails asking about them. I was repeatedly told the gallery had already been emailed to me, but nothing was ever received in my inbox or spam folder. It took almost two more weeks of back-and-forth before I finally received the link. Overall, while the venue itself is decent for a small wedding, the lack of communication, scheduling mistakes, and refusal to acknowledge concerns left a very negative impression. I understand that mistakes happen, but the way these issues were handled afterward is why I cannot recommend this venue. There are many better options for couples planning a smaller-budget wedding.

This is a very small facility; I've never seen a smaller roller rink. There should have been a cap of how many people allowed in, because it made skating and just moving around inside so difficult. Everything looks at least 30-40 years old here, our booth was wobbly and unstable. The carpet was old and stained. It was very challenging to move around on the carpeted areas, but also the rink, due to the extreme number of people in the building. I felt like I was in a packed bar or club. I can't overstate that there were way too many people and children. The rink itself is painted concrete, which I've never seen before. It is somewhat uneven, you can feel the small rises and falls in the concrete, but it's not too severe. There were A LOT of children with the little PVC skate-aid things, but skating as an adult was made extremely challenging & nearly impossible because of this. The music they played was fun, and there was some interactions from the DJ, like a backwards skate only, and "all girls only skate," and then "all boys only skate," for a song each. I did like that there are ceiling fans over the rink, to cool you down. The ceiling felt really low, which I think made the whole place feel even smaller. The bathrooms were pretty clean and well stocked, but I didn't like that there were no hooks on the bathroom stall doors. They did let me bring my water bottle in, which I appreciated. There were lockers, but we didn't rent one. Overall, this place is probably fine if you're a kid, but terrible if your an adult skater looking to skate. Go to United Skates or America on Refugee instead!!
