We had my 12 yrs old son birthday party here last week Friday. The girl that helped is was so sweet and wonderful to work with. I think her name was Allyson. I went here with my daughter, and we had a great time. I read the reviews, and was a little concerned because of the comments about body-shaming and people getting kicked out for wardrobe issues. I saw nothing of that. I was shocked to see three midriffs out on the skating floor. Okay, not really shocked. Basically, the staff seem to have a really fun attitude, especially the DJ, and no one was hassling anyone. There was a good mix of music, and the lighting system is very cool, and makes the skating much more fun. It was a little disappointing to participate in the prize giveaway, and to find out that the prizes consisted of things like an ice cream sandwich or cotton candy but that's a small thing. Oh, and they do have a beverage that's made up of pickle juice and carbonated water. It tastes exactly like what you would imagine pickle juice and carbonated water tastes like. read more

Had a great time a couple of nights recently. The kids had a blast, the price was right, the staff was friendly, the facility was clean.

Not bad on skating prices and the carpets have been updated so that's nice. A little ridiculous that it's still just cash for everything. You are not allowed to bring in an empty water bottle but they will sell you one for $2.50(Kirkland brand bought for 21¢) That's a crazy mark up for water. Also, the toilets and sinks simply can't be cleaned on a regular basis with this amount of scum build up. Bought a dozen mini doughnuts for $12. They were comically tiny. Most of the hot food comes cold and hard. It's definitely not somewhere you want to eat. read more

So it was my brother's 13th birthday and him and his friends went here. One of them had a fractured ankle and couldn't skate. So what did they do? They kicked him out, and proceeded to be disrespectful to me, and all of the other people there. Life lesson kids if your injured and don't wear skates you get stolen of ten bucks and kicked out. Not to mention a very boring location. Small indoor facility that is outdated very expensive food and beverage not to mention the outdoor area is always closed! Would never recommend, will never come back! read more

Same as it was 25 years ago. Skates are the same. Carpet is the same... and looks like it has never been cleaned. The bathrooms smell like urine. No soap in the soap dispensers and neither of the hand dryers worked. Needs a huge update and a deep clean for sure! read more

What a ridiculous establishment. They don't take cards so either cash or go on their website with a card and pay the $.125 service fee. Why not just do cards and charge the service fee? Then we go get skates. 2 bucks more for blades, so have to hit the ATM because cash only. Worst skates and blades ever btw. Bathroom was out of handsoap. Then go to get a locker, but the keys aren't in them. So I go to the front and am told it is $3 plus a $25 deposit. The theme of this place isn't skating or fun, it's inconvienece and nickel and diming. read more

This place claims to be a family place for kids to have fun. Their staff is incredibly weird toward female children, following them around commenting on their bodies. STAY FAR AWAY- sick sick place. They let 40 year old men skate but treat little girls very sketchy- the whole place is a mess. Awful. Me and my friends went and I was wearing a long sleeve sweater and jeans and got told I can't go in because when I reach up my kid drift shows. The guy was so rude and obviously this is a very sexist place. Even if I had a jacket I wouldn't give them my business. Don't know how this place is still in business read more

I had a horrible experience here. There is so many weird rules that made it impossible to just have a good time. I saw countless incidents of male employees telling girls to cover up certain parts of their bodies. This is NOT ok and I was disgusted. I was also completely ignored by an employee while I was standing and waiting to be helped. More importantly I was asked to leave when I decided to remove my skates even though I was with a group of others who where still skating. I understand if they don't want people to be in the way of skaters but there were many people without skates on and my feet were in a lot of pain because of the skates there. I just could not seem to catch a break while I was there and overall have a frustrating and stressful experience. Will not be going back to this uncomfortable and creepy place. read more

For many years my family and friends have used Skateland for our PRIVATE events. I'm not sure if they are under new ownership but today 2/24/22, I attended my nieces 8th birthday party. First of all, the employees would not allow us to officially skate until the exact time on the dot, not a minute before even though no one is there. As before we would be able to come in and start a half hour early for set up, etc. Second of all, they stopped my nieces party for about 15 to 20 minutes to play us a ridiculous video of "rules and safety" this could have been played at the beginning of our event they were just wasting our limited time. Then the worker kept getting angry over the microphone yelling at our kids for not skating the "correct way" they are literally kids. She was also wasting our time trying to guess our kids shoe size, umm hello do you parent our children? No you don't quit being rude and give us the size we tell you! My sister was embarrassed by her behavior. Last and most importantly, the "owners" crashed our party with a group of EIGHT people! This was ridiculous. There was a lady who recording with her phone. My sister quickly went to complain and was told they were the owners. She was quick to tell them she paid for the event to be private they needed to leave. The owners were angry when asked to leave by one of the employees saying "this is bullshit! We own this place" and left. What is bullshit is that they were crashing my nieces private party when we paid nearly $400 dollars for. They have poor customer service. If I find my kids or anyone in our private party family posted in a video or pictures online we will take legal action! They were not granted permission to record or take pictures at the party they decided to "crash." This is poor customer service and I can assure them my family and friends will NOT ever book this place for our private events. The fact that they didn't give my sister an apology or gave her a discount for crashing her private event for 20-30 minutes is ridiculous! This is the last time this place will have us there! I will make sure to pass the word on to the rest of our family and friends! read more

Took my granddaughters niece and nephew to this establishment on the 28th of December 2018. Gross,gross, and grosser. I skated here when I was in my teens it was the place to be, please don't waist your money. The carpet is stained the seats are so disgusting I refused to sit or even use the bathrooms. My niece got sick after eating here. Kim, your parents would be appalled at how you have taken care of this place. You are one cheap guy. This place is disgusting. I'm 55 and it is virtually the same skates, paint, flooring, etc. since I was 12 years old. The owners have not put one nickel of improvements into Skateland. The place is filthy and smells horrible. They didnt have skates that work for our son and daughter in law because they are too cheap to maintain the skates and replace the shoelaces for those who wear larger sizes. What a shame that one of the few places for out kids to go has been allowed to disinegrate to such deplorable conditions. read more

Kids had a lot of fun. But 1 HUGE issue. This is a CASH ONLY facility and nowhere does it state this on their website. We were caught off guard. Paid $2.50 at ATM and another 2.50 from our bank. So be sure to get cash prior to going, unless you have money to blow. read more

this place is just horrible. the second I got through the door I first noticed how unclean the whole place is. once I went inside to get my ticket, the lady working there was immediately eyeing me weirdly. that made me extremely uncomfortable, but that wasn't even the start. it's very hot outside and me and some of my friends were wearing tank tops, and some were wearing shorts. inside there was no air conditioning. she said we couldn't come inside because we were dressed inappropriately. I also earlier saw the lady that dress coded me dresscoded a 4 year old girl because she was wearing shorts. the bathrooms were disgusting and the lady immediately kicked me and all of my friends out. it was my birthday party. this was very disappointing. read more

Worst service ever! The people that worked there were rude, they told us that we couldn't bring in food for a party or even cut the cake. They were very rude in the way they told us, and when we asked to speak to there boss they denied us that right. They didn't even have there policies posted prohibiting food. This place used to be s fun and popular place when I was a teenager. I recently took my young 15 year old cousin to skate first off this place still only takes cash in 2019. The man working wasn't very nice he told us my cousin couldn't come in a very rude tone that her shorts were to short (it was a very hot day). So I took her home to change because she really wanted to skate . Then there was a lady and she told us we couldn't come in because my shirt was to short. I thought this was ridiculous I had just wore my shirt to work and told the woman the man never told me this or I would of changed . She brought the man out and he said he didn't realize how short my shirt was (it was only short if I reached up and barely showed anything) luckily I had a shirt in my car so I asked to change in their bathroom they said yes . The bathrooms were dirty and very old looking. The food was old and over priced ($3 for one slice of old hard pizza) This experience was not how I remembered it. The man did eventually apologize for being rude but the lady never did. I will not return! read more

I have had a brain tumor my entire life, and never have I ever been discriminated for it or treated as someone with a "disability," until I came here. When we approached the front desk my mom made it very clear that neither I, or my boyfriend would be skating, they told us this was fine and proceeded to let us through the front doors. As my mom was getting skates a man singled out my boyfriend and told him he must wear skates if he's in the building, he then told me about this "rule," and remembering that the women at the front desk had just previously told us this was fine, I ignored it. Then again, as we were sitting down, one of the same ladies who let us in came over and told my boyfriend and I that we needed to be wearing skates. My mom then informed them that I have a brain tumor and can not be on skates and that I would just be sitting to watch and play arcade games, they continued to tell us that I was not allowed in the building unless I was wearing skates and when my mom repeatedly told them about my condition and that I was not wearing skates by any means they told me that I had to leave the building and sit outside their establishment until my family was done skating. I had never been singled out like this before and I was completely shocked by this discrimination coming from adults and business managers. As you can imagine my mom was very upset and had a few select words. They ended up letting us stay after we paid for my boyfriends skate rental so he could sit with me in his socks with skates next to us. If for any reason you or a loved one can not be on roller skates I highly suggest you do not come here, you will be poorly treated and heavily discriminated against. read more
