It blends right into the other small antique shops on Partition St, as they have a large collection of decorative iron hooks and door knockers outside when they're open. They also have other antiques available inside. The shop is run 100% by the couple that owns it, and they do all the framing themselves. I brought them probably 5-10 items these last few weeks and they were very helpful in picking out frames. Prices were very fair, and they were able to find solutions when what we picked turned out to be too expensive. Everything was done within a reasonable amount of time as well. I don't have much time else left to frame, however I will go out of my way to use these guys again!

They have a wide array of charming products that are curated by Susan, the owner, and her incredible eye for design. Yes, they have paper and pens and things like that, but they also have an amazing number and variety of locally made items and gifts. I get so many compliments on my Coxsackie tote that I purchased at Pilothouse. The splatter paint designed serving spoons from Pilothouse are a lovely addition to my kitchen. I love using the fancy colored pens and check box notepad I bought there at work every day. What really stole my heart was when I placed an order online for Christmas gifts. Susan was so helpful, so speedy, and I am beyond impressed. I was basically sending her screencaps of their (adorable) Instagram page and she was able to decipher wheat I want. The items all arrived in pristine condition, each one wrapped with care, and I am over the moon. I really can't thank Susan enough. I can't wait to visit over the summer (if not sooner)! I sent it back to them, they refuse any refund. Look how insulting their response is, as if I am a professional hand laundry outfit: "We are sorry to hear that the first washing did not go as expected. Can you please let us know which products you purchased. Also, may we ask which detergent you used to wash our products? Our printed fabrics do require special care. Due to our natural dyes and the hand-block printing process each wash releases dye in to the water, this is normal. The trick is to avoid releasing too much dye at one time. It is very important to use the maximum water setting despite the size of your load followed by an extra rinse. This ensures that the basin fills with water so that the products can rinse thoroughly and not absorb the excess dye. In the past when excess dye has been absorbed by our products we have had great success by re-washing the items on delicate with cold water and distilled white vinegar followed by an extra rinse. Drip-dry is recommended followed by a hot steam iron for pressing. Our return policy states we accept returns on unused/unwashed items within 30 days of purchase. The reason we specify "unwashed" is due to the fact that laundering is specific to the individual, machinery and cleaning solutions. Please let us know if the re-washing process is able to clarify the backgrounds of the products and rectify this situation."

My husband and his sister got a couple of beers and they were delicious. I like how you can get a book and get a beer and just sit there and enjoy. Staff was super friendly and fun He was playing old dance '80s music and had us laughing and dancing in her chairs. In the back is art studio with lots of items to purchase. They have a great variety of books available for sale and they don't seem to mind if you reading one while enjoying your coffee or cold brew. In the back they have a large space with art supplies; just about anything one would need to get started and beyond. My mom purchased a few paint brushes and I purchased a round of beers for our group. Pricing is quite affordable - craft beer was $6.48 each and my mom's Saranac soda was $2.78. The store is immaculately kept and the restroom was clean. We had a great time while visiting the area and would come back again next time we're in town.

My wife and I spent a lot of time talking with Bob, the owner, and his partner (ugh - can't remember her name) about the history of their shop and some of the other unique places in Chatham. If you are going through Chatham make a point of stopping into this classy little shop and you will not be disappointed. Great place to visit!!
