After reading them, I feel compelled to add my experience, which was, and continues to be, very positive. A year or so ago, I picked up a nice original lithograph from The Second Show, but it needed new glass. I took it to Sketch, where Amy not only took care of that, but touched up the wood frame, advised against changing the mat, and the total cost was more than reasonable. Very personalized service and for that reason I go in to buy art cards and cute bags and art supplies for gifts, wanting to support them. She's been helpful when I had questions - today, looking for a chalkboard for a child. Even though they don't carry it, she gave a suggestion on where I could find it and, if not, she would order one for me. (I'm no longer from Montclair NJ!)

We decided to chance the drive out past downtown and it was well worth the trip; the Pottery's grounds are lovely (nice dahlias) and the shop was filled with what the Web site advertised. Multiple styles of mugs and dishes in striking and idiosyncratic glazes of many kinds. We chose sea green and (sea?) blue that the potter advised us were so notable because ground glass was scattered in the glaze; when she didn't have a piece in a glaze I wanted she cheerfully offered to glaze a piece to meet my hopes and send it on when it was ready. Absolutely worth the trip; we hope to return and add to our collection. UPDATE: The mugs we bought are excellent for coffee flavor. Know how different mugs make coffee taste different? We think these -- the big one with gently sloping-out sides and the straight-sided larger one -- provide excellent flavor. Also, dishwasher-safe, so yeah.

Back when I worked nearby, I'd come here on my lunch break just to look around. The ladies working are super sweet and the owner even took me to the back and showed me where all the glazing magic happens. I scored a small, black handmade pitcher covered in little red lips all around and an incense holder.. The prices for both my pieces made me pause a bit- like $60+ for the pitcher and $30+ for the incense holder. I mean... you are paying for art, not something mass-produced. Every piece is one of a kind and you're not going to find the same thing anywhere else.

There were so many great colors to choose from! I had to make a quick decision because I was short on time. The woman who helped me was so gracious to wind the yard right away and check me out. Two days later I went in again and the back part of the store was abuzz with everyone knitting and laughing together. What a delightful place! Stumbled upon great surprise! I was on the way home and I like to take roads I have not been on…read morebefore. while passing this flower/gift shop on the outskirts of any town I knew of a week before Valentine's Day I saw a number of car which peaked my interest. To impress me, a florist shop needs to exhibit creativity and display unique flowers & plants. All of which, Chatham Flowers going for them. we discussed what I was looking for, the price point, if a vase was to be included or not, and they went to work creating a beautiful bouquet with exactly the flowers I was hoping would be in the arrangement. The final arrangement was stunning, packed for travel and for presentation. I could not be happier with the final product. I did also buy a small bird to be nestled in the arrangement as well as a stunning heart for our fireplace mantle at home. In short, great find, talented people, unique inventory, customer focused, and a pleasure to do business with.
