What I love most is the flexibility--whether I need a few hours for errands, work, or an appointment, I know my child is having fun and being well cared for.

The staff has changed through our time there but everyone was great! To name a few still there...Mandy as the director works hard and always a pleasure to work with! Maria, Courtney, Sammy, Mia, Abbi and Hannah all teachers that treated my kids as their own! Loved the preschool programs for my oldest she learned so much. My son in the infants even learned sign language! I liked that they had teacher conferences twice a year so you could have that one on one discussion on how they were doing. But the teachers were always available during drop off or pick up to discuss any recent questions as well. Summer program was fun with lots of outdoor playing, Kona ice visits, bike day and more! Other fun activities through the year with visits from the Florence Fire department, library, pj day, holiday parties and fun art work being sent home on the regular! Even art work from the Infants! We would still be at Cadance but with school starting for my oldest soon we moved to a place closer to our home. If you're considering Cadence look no further! Your children will be in great hands!

Seemed like a great Montessori blend and we felt like it was going to be an awesome fit! My child was due August 11, and we gave them a deposit and "enrolled" him on March 15. I told them at that time - and the lady wrote it down - that I would take 12 weeks off with my baby before I returned to work. They told me no problem and to just call them when he was born to determine his start date. I did exactly that. I called them 1 week after he was born, told them my return to work date of 11/7 (he was born 3 days after his due date, so he wouldn't be starting daycare any EARLIER than expected), and they told me that they wouldn't have any room for him until 12/19! They also said, "We have to make sure that another child is walking before then, so the very earliest we could get him in is the 19. If that child isn't walking, we'll have to push the date back further." I explained to the lady on the phone that this was going to give me 6 WEEKS without childcare and she asked me if I could get help from family or friends until then. Ridiculous! I don't have family nearby to help with childcare (if I did, I wouldn't be enrolling him in daycare) and all of my friends work during the day, too. When I asked for my $75 deposit back because they didn't hold his spot, they basically scoffed at me and said tough luck. I'm completely appalled. Don't enroll your child here - they may make you wait on another child's development so your kid can start daycare, and you'll be stuck scrambling to find a place (as if the early weeks after having a baby aren't stressful enough as it is). Totally let down and disappointed. I want my $75 back.

The teachers are so loving and affectionate, yet maintain perfect order, discipline, and manners in the classroom. With Patti, Theresa, Gail, and Stacey's help, our son began reading at four years old and makes amazing progress every day. As importantly, he has learned to be a "solid citizen" towards his teachers, classmates, and family. The school and its setting on the hillside Villa Madonna campus are idyllic, and I feel such joy every morning when we arrive. Villa Madonna Montessori has made our son excited for school and eager to learn -- the greatest foundation we could imagine from his preschool and kindergarten education.

This is my experience in Little Toes; I think the experience for older kids is pretty different. Our first session was on Sunday mornings alternating 9 am and 10 am. There were only about 7 kids playing at once, so it wasn't too bad when a few of them weren't listening, etc. We liked that our son was playing with new kids and learning team work, and enjoyed it enough to sign up a second time. This session, we did Saturday mornings at 9 am and they had way too many kids. I'd estimate there were at least 15 kids (maybe more) when everyone was there and it was just way too many. While everyone seems very nice, some of the coaches just aren't as loud and can't wrangle the kids as well. Coach Ben had a great rapport with the kids and seemed to get them into the activity better. One thing that is frustrating with this age group is the amount of parents who go on the field and don't let the Happy Feet coaches do their job. They follow their kids around or just stand on the wall, get in the way to take photos from the field, and so on. We get an email each week from Happy Feet asking the parents to stay off the field unless their kid really needs them, but it is ignored by some. I counted seven parents on the field today and it becomes a safety issue at that point with everyone going in different directions. Now that our son is older, I think we'll try some other programs, but we were glad to have had the experience and glad Happy Feet gets started with such young toddlers.

My…read moreinitial visit went ok but I only kept them there a week and some of the reasons why follow. They showed me schedules for the two year old curriculum hanging in the back part of the room, I never heard from my child or saw any indication of any type of learning/crafts going on. The workers seemed disconnected from the kids, my 2 yr old gets a little upset when I leave (especially this being a new place) and no one would help soothe him so I could get out the door. It seemed like every day someone else was in the room, no consistency at all in that department. The floors in this place were dirty like they wouldn't get cleaned after lunch or something, it was just gross and shouldn't look that way at 530pm. On to the infant room. The room is pretty nice and I like the way it was set up. I first noticed the lack of a rocking chair or really any sort of chair for a caregiver to sit in while feeding an infant, which leads me to believe they are propping up bottles to feed. This room was for the most part clean but I did witness a one yr old eat food off the floor a couple times. Again there was someone different in the room every morning. They have a special worker in the infant room to help which is awesome. I was told she would only read and play with the kids on the floor but I found out she had fed my 10 week old, I'm not sure what happened but they had to change his clothes because of it. I really worry about such a small baby getting dropped, that feeding should have never happened. So all that being said the place isn't up to what I was looking for in care for my boys, and over all got a bad vibe from most of the employees.
