I have been seeing Casey for facials, microneedling and waxing for 5+ years. I feel compelled to review her business now after seeing the recent review from Lex D who claims that Casey discriminates against Asian people during the coronavirus outbreak in Seattle. Just had my first facial with Casey yesterday and it was AMAZING!!! 1) Getting to her office was easy and there was designated parking which is always a plus. 2) Her space is tranquil, clean, professional and welcoming. 3) She makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed and has a wonderful personality. She is great at explaining things and teaching you about your skin. 4) The facial itself was amazing. She flows through the process seamlessly and it never feels disjointed or awkward. I found out about Casey on the West Seattle Blog. After visiting the website I thought the prices for facials were reasonable and booked an appointment. A full hour of bliss! I had the Cell Renewal Facial and am extremely pleased with the results. I've already booked my next appointment. So here's the deal: I'm kind of a big goof and I've been thinking forever about how to write a funny review for Casey that does justice to how amazing she is. But turns out I'm not good at being funny about skincare. There goes my standup gig at the Skin Care Society of America conference this year. Shoot. ANYWAY, the truth is, I am pretty much the ho of skin: I have been everywhere, tried everything, and heard every promise from everyone from dermatologists on down to every one of my friends' moms. My skin is trouble like your little sister's new boyfriend Butch: I've completed 3 cycles of Accutane, done the antibiotics, Proactiv, Murad, facials up the wazoo (I can even tell you the track of music some of the local places play. One place plays the soundtrack from the Princess Bride. Don't ask me how long it took me to figure that one out) and all the rest of the things one can put on one's face. In a moment of sincerity, here, though, I've had acne since I was 10 and have spent the past 16 years dealing with cysts and scarring. There have been times when I didn't want to leave the house and days when I just wanted to cry. I'm pretty tough, but you know how it is - when you don't feel good in your own skin, it's hard to hold it all together sometimes. I came to Casey to try out microdermabrasion after getting a Groupon and told her that I didn't expect a whole lot of improvement but that I simply wanted to give it a shot. I think my exact words were " I don't need to look like Natalie Portman or whatever, but...like...that would be cool and stuff..." One thing I LOVE about Casey (among the many): she never promised me that my skin would be fabulous. She quietly listened to what I had to say and said that she thought she could help. Casey was right and I've will never trust my skin to anyone else. I too found Casey through a Groupon for microderm abrasion (my first ever) and have since purchased a package because the results were so amazing. The sun spots I discovered after my pregnancies are fading, my skin looks younger, and I've been telling everyone I know about it. After 2 years of procrastinating, I finally decided to make an appointment to get my brows waxed. I have a hard time trusting anyone with my brows, due to bad experiences in the past, but I found Caseys website and read all of the great reviews, so I decided to give her a try. I am so glad I did! My brows look better than they have in years (I cant stop looking at them) and I didn't have to waste precious time this morning trying to fill in my brows to get them to match. This review is long overdue since I've been seeing Casey for my skin issues since 2012. I've always had oily, acne prone skin and by the time I was 30, my old products I had been using since I was a teenager were no longer working. After going through a bad break-up, I finally decided it was time to deal with my skin issues and decided to see Casey in hopes that she would help me gain some confidence back. Turns out, I was using so many products that were not clean and having adverse effects on my skin. After monthly microdermabrasion treatments, switching up my skincare products to the Serene line like Casey recommended, and using clean makeup brands, woweeeee!! I did a lot of researching on yelp before picking Casey for wedding beautifying and wow did I hit the jackpot. There is a lot of stress on a bride to be bride beautiful and the experience of getting there can be very nerve-wracking. Casey was there every step of the way anticipating issues and listening to my fears. She spaced out my microdermibrasion with my sunless tanning and did them at an intensity that was perfectly matched to my skin and for the event. I have NEVER had luck with sunless tanning even before I moved to Seattle and developed the depth of paleness only available here. I had no streaking and was glowing and sun kissed after Casey's application. I've also never had a good eyebrow shaping and only traumatic waxing. Casey picked up my style and gave me the perfect, low key shape with no reaction to my extremely sensitive skin. On top of that, Casey is personable, generous and easy to talk to. My face is super sensitive (as in, I once went to the ER a couple days after the effects of a very minor facial procedure) so I'm always a bit leery of trying anything or anyone new when it comes to skincare. Wonderful! I started seeing Casey to manage my problem skin & had been wanting to try Microdermabrasion. Casey specializes in helping people with skin like mine (prone to breakouts, sensitive, showing signs of age). I got a package of dermabrasion sessions & my skin is looking great! I do recommend getting at least 3-4 (I had 6) sessions b/c the effect over several months of treatments spaced 1-2 weeks apart is where you will see amazing results. A few other things to note, I wanted back facials which she does not list on her menu of services but will happily do, and she is a supporter of local artists, which I love! Her place of business displays work of local artists & jewelry makers just because Casey likes their work, not because she profits from it (she takes no $$ from any of their sales).
