Great place. They put me in a private room for my Tatoo cause well, it's in a place that needs privacy! The Tatoo came out great and I was sent home with instructions! I would totally recommend them! If i could give this place negative stars i would. I called ahead and asked if there was a piercer in and the person who answered the phone said yes. Within five minutes I came in, I waited 30 minutes with no piercer because he was on "lunch" at 6pm. I nicely asked how long do you think it will be until he is back? Before I explain why I am putting two stars has NOTHING to do with Garry's Graffix itself because I have had many tattoos done by them. Caroline and Bill are the best and I wished they were available. I had a friend come from Texas and we wanted matching tattoos. We called and the one downtown took walk-ins until 8. We got there at 8 and not only did we get one but he had time to my sons tattoo. His name was Niel. He is why I am giving the ratings I am. He was so rude to us. To my friend who came from Texas it was her first tattoo and she wanted it perfect. He was rushing her and as a matter of fact messed it up on the lining and blamed she was moving. She was a trooper and took it like a champ. I saw no motion in her at all. She was military and I promise you is a tough cookie! I think he rushed so he could be gone by 9. It took less than 10 minutes for each due to the size. My son maybe 20 minutes. He kept arguing with her on the picture she wanted and how it would look. Reminder this is her first one. She Was concerned on where she put it as well. When I got in the chair, his rude comment was (with attitude) QUOTE~ Are you satisfied where I put it. May not sound rude when you read it but trust me, he was very sarcastic. There was 20 min left and he was telling her she needed to decide because he was leaving at 9. He made $280.00 in 45 minutes (Cash). I think he could have been a little bit more professional and I will never go nor take my friends or recommend anyone to go to the downtown location ever again. Garry's Graffix has done amazing with others I have done and again, Caroline or Bill would have had our business had they been available. This will NOT keep me from Garry's in the future but it will keep me from ever going to Neil again. read more

Terrible customer service. I walked in and four people were on a couch just sitting there. No one greeted us or even looked up from their phone when we walked in. The girl finally asked how she could help us and I told her and she proceeds to look at everyone else and asked if anyone wanted to do it and they all kinda sat there. The guy who did the actual tattoo might have said 5 words to me the whole time. Gave me NO direction on tattoo care. Thank gosh I already had tattoos before and knew, but didn't offer any info other than when I asked how long it would take to heal in the spot I had it. Tattoo quality was great. My friend was going to get a piercing and didn't end up getting it because they were so cold and not welcoming. No one seemed to want to be there or help anyone at all. I won't be returning, not because of the tattoo quality which is a shame because it's great, but it was not a good environment at all. read more

This is, hopefully, a two-parter as I haven't even been in the studio YET, but if the quality of those beyond the receptionist is any indicator of the work, I am ALL IN! Emily answered the phone and answered every question with patience, kindness, and confidence in the artists. I know of a few other tattoo studios in town who lost my interest/business because when answering the phone displayed a real 'care LESS' attitude. If you can't answer the phone for a few minutes and act like you even want me in the building, I sure as heck don't want anything permanent placed on me from you or your company! Emily, you got me in the door - I am anxious to write my next review on how happy I am with my artistry BUT your kindness and professionalism left a permanent mark in all the right ways! Went to this place yesterday 2/9/18 & just walked right in and was immediately helped by the front desk, I didn't have an appointment made but they said it would be a 30-45 min wait but only waited less than 20 minutes. My artist, Bethany, got me what I wanted and was so nice and helpful throughout the process. Before I chose Gary's I went to Cape Fear around the corner and talked to a guy there & he told me what I wanted would be "too tedious" for the both of us but Bethany completed my tattoo and it looks better than ever!!!! I have been going to Skin Grafix Tattoo (both Greenville and Winterville locations) for over 15 years for both piercings and tattoos. I went to the Greenville location recently wanting to get a simple cartilage piercing. When I walked in there was a guy sitting on the sofa, with several others just sitting around. I wasn't greeted at all. The guy on the sofa finally asked what I wanted like I was inconveniencing him. When I told him the piercing I wanted he looked at my ears and said he wouldn't be able to do that claiming my ear was too small. He was very rude in tone and his interaction. I thanked him and left. I drove straight across town to the Winterville location where I was immediately greeted and had a wonderful experience getting the piercing I wanted. It was so disappointing to see how a place I had a lot of respect for has gone down hill. If you need a piercing, I highly recommend traveling a few more miles to the Winterville location...you won't be disappointed. read more
