I went to two appointments at skin medispa for laser tattoo removal. At the initial consultation it was told to me that I could expect at least 6 plus treatments to get full results. I paid through the nose, (150$ more than I just paid last week at another business!!), for the first two appointments, but I was happy with the results so I didn't complain.
At my last appointment, in late spring, I was advised by the technician that most tattoo removal clients take the summer off to avoid having to deal with the aftermath of the treatment in the heat and sun. This seemed reasonable to me and I didn't want to miss going to the beach and enjoying my summer, so I followed their advice and took the summer off.
When I contacted the clinic in Oct to book my next appointment, I was informed that over the course of the summer, the spa had sold the laser and would no longer offer the service.
I was shocked that I didn't receive so much as a courtesy call, especially after forking over close to $700 already!
If during my initial consultation, when I was told I would need 6 plus treatments, I was also told that there was a chance they would decide to sell the laser and leave me in the lurch with a half faded tattoo, I would have never started the process with them.
When I expressed my disappointment at what I perceive as terrible customer service, the attitude was basically, "there was no contract- so too bad". I expressed to them that wasn't good enough and that I wanted to be offered either a partial refund or a discount on another procedure i was considering having done. Again I was met with excuses and an attitude that implied that it was my fault for not coming in over the summer.
When I told them again that this was a completely unsatisfactory way to treat customers, they responded by offering me a crappy $30 facial.
A disgusting way to treat customers, especially when you've already overcharged them so horrendously for the service you did provide.
I guess in the end they did me a favor because I am receiving the same treatment somewhere else for almost half the price! As far as the other procedure that I am considering, I'll take my business to an establishment where customers are considered as much as profit. read more
