Shawn Stover was very thorough! I was invited to follow along as he inspected. Fanastic inspection as I got to see everything right along with him. I did not feel in the dark! He inspected everything and was not afraid to dive in...He crawled around the basement/crawlspace and the attic. Very knowledgeable about everything he inspected. He was not afraid to take the time to explain things or answer questions. The report was just as thorough and again explained everything with recommendations. And since I am not from the area he recommended folks to call for the problem areas that need attention. Thank you so much Shawn! I really appreciate your personality as well as your knowledge. So thorough and helpful!! 55 page report on a house that was pretty well taken care of. Circles or points to issues in pictures to tell you what he's talking about. Even crawled around in the attic and inspected the retaining walls (the other inspector in town didn't...). Even went down and talked with the realtor for us! And only charged $350 (50 more than the other inspector), but found way more little things (and 1 big thing). Also recommended preventative maintenance that I had no idea about. I will probably have him inspect our house every 10 years just to keep on top of things! read more

Great inspector; you won't be disappointed!…read more Steve is very professional and you know you are buying a quality inspection. He was early to the house in question and didn't mind my wife and I as clients poking around with him. All my questions were answered as he probed old wood and climbed over the roof. There wasn't a space he neglected nor did he walk in with an "it's fine" attitude. If I could sum Wasden Property Inspection up in one word: meticulous! The customer service was so good that when we got the report that day, which was detailed and full of pictures, it felt like a review because Steve had already gone over it in detail when he was inspecting. Last, you know what you are getting up front and Steve makes no allusions as what he can and can't do. You get a contract and you get what you pay for: he is the only inspector that puts in 3.5 to 4 hours (I think ours was 4.5 hours) compared to his competition at 1 -1.5 hours. I knew exactly what the report would say as we left the property that evening. As a female, I appreciated the respect and straightforward communication he used.
