This is not the case with Cinco Lounge - the drinks beautifully presented and even tastier to enjoy! The atmosphere is wonderful as well - relaxing seating, beautiful decor, music and lighting. However, we eventually grew tired of this and wanted to enjoy a cocktail or two with the locals. After doing some shopping, we stumbled upon The Bar. Unlike some of the other bars, The Bar does not have outdoor seating. Therefore, you have to keep your eyes peeled for the entrance. Upon entering the dimly lit intimate bar, we were warmly greeted by a bartender named Joao. We took in the romantic ambiance (they have a Louis Vuitton Virgil Abloh collector's book!) as we found seating on one of their cozy + comfy couches. My wife ordered the Porn Star Martini (you gotta love an establishment that has a little fun with the name of their drinks) and I ordered the Long Island Iced Tea (this used to be my go-to back in my clubbing days). I knew the drinks would be delicious when I saw Joao carefully crafting the drinks as if he was bathing a newborn. Six minutes later we were sipping on our delectable drinks. In fact, the drinks were so delectable that we slowly sipped them to not finish them too quickly. We made repeated visits to The Bar during our stay in Lisbon, specifically for their Happy Hour that takes place from 5pm to 8pm. With the exception of the signature cocktails, all cocktails are $7 during Happy Hour. If you're looking to consume an adult beverage in a comfortable, cozy, and non-touristy environment...I highly recommend The Bar!

It is kind of funny, for how incredibly otherwise interesting Lisbon is as a city, foodie-wise,…read morethat it definitely doesn't have much of a craft *cocktail* scene, and what it does have, is hidden in plain sight, whether as a pizza shop (the other surprisingly good actually-a-cocktail-bar I found), or in this case more literally, as a brothel turned tourist trap-looking bar that actually does have quite good cocktails. Admittedly - it was clearly designed so that it could function at night, when my hunch is that it's more likely to be an absolute madhouse, and it probably a bit feels more like a nightclub. Good thing for me, then, that they're open, and I visited, at 2 PM on a Friday, when they only had a few customers, my favorite sort of vibe for a bar. Yes, they do have extremely suggestively murals up all over the place, because they're committed to the bit (committed enough that if it turned out they were actually also a secret brothel to this day, I'd be like... yeah, that'd track. To my knowledge they are in fact just a bar, though.) But at least when they aren't busy, it is *also* one of the small number of proper craft cocktail bars I found in Lisbon while I was there. Their cocktails were 12-14 euro as of when I was there a few months ago - which a couple years ago would've felt a little pricey, but now feels pretty par for the course. The menu cocktails were mostly all prebatched, but have clearly been prebatched freshly and with *purpose*, as the two cocktails I tried here were *quite* good. One with gin, roobois, ancho reyes and yellow pepper, and one, I was excited to finally see, using Beirao in something more interesting than just tonics or spritzes, with pisco, Beirao, pineaple and eucalyptus. Great presentation, great drinks, and again at least as of when they were least busy, quick service (as you would expect, given that, again, it is mostly prebatched.) That said, if like me, you only speak English, ymmv - the one bartender when I was there spoke English like a native English speaker. Great bartender, too. Then he left and another bartender took over, who spoke zero English whatsoever. As it turns out, you also don't need to speak the same language to order a drink off a menu and then pay for it, though, but it is still *nice* speaking the same language as the bartender.

Came here on our last night in Lisbon to enjoy a few last caipirinhas with a view, and this place did not disappoint. We were served pretty much immediately after taking a look at the extensive bar menu and picking our poison. I went with the black caipirinha, my partner stuck to the traditional one. We walked around the back to access the upstairs patio which was relatively empty when we first got there, but filled up considerably as the night went on. You can see the top of the castle lit up at night from the rooftop patio as well as lots of the city, which is really a sight to see. Our drinks were strong and well made. Definitely stop by at some point during your trip to Lisbon!

This was our first official meal in Lisbon, a reservation for 9:45 pm dinner on a Wednesday, and it was a great introduction to Portuguese food. The street at the entrance was empty and quiet, and there weren't many people inside, presumably because it was late. Service was excellent, they were very nice, told us to take our time despite our late reservation. Pumpkin soup was the appetizer, and it was delicious. Creamy and hearty but somehow not heavy, with some tomato and meaty flavor that went well with the sweet pumpkin. Comes with some seeds and bread that you can dip the soup with. 5/5 Octopus-comes with some green peppers, quinoa, and a tomato paste/puree that gives it a light, slightly sweet, slightly spicy taste that went very well with the octopus. This is a great summer dish. Interestingly the thin end of the octopus was not that crispy, maybe that was the intention, but the entire tentacle taste and texture was pretty homogenized. 4.5/5 Risotto- also has pumpkin, but more savory with cheese and butter, topped with leek and I belive has mushrooms. Not sure how they're getting away with using heavy ingredients coming together to become a light dish, but they're pulling it off perfectly. Price was also very reasonable. We did get asked about tip, which not all restaurants in Lisbon do, but we felt tip was deserving at this establishment.
