For an extremely small airport, CHO is very efficient and clean. I was literally the only person at…read morethe TSA area for a good few minutes, and I was there on a Friday at 10 a.m. I would not want to be stuck there for more than an hour, though, because there's only one small restaurant/bar, and a sundry store, and that's about it. This airport does have a balcony that you can step out onto to get some fresh air, but there's no smoking. But there are tables and chairs, so you can eat outside and watch the planes come in. The Charlottesville airport also has a nursing room, and a lounge (but I'm not sure who it's for), and lots of chairs with outlets. They have more outlets here than people, probably, so you'll find somewhere to plus your stuff into. It's an easy get-in-get-out airport.

There was no one else here until just before it was time to board the ONE commercial flight. A little creepy for someone who is the Duke of the Charlotte airport and in the top ten for checkins at Atlanta airport. Wifi worked well, bathrooms were super clean, the view of my plane was great. Sitting area was tidy and comfortable with power outlets around. There's even a vending machine if you want to get a candy bar or a drink for your flight, but remember that the rules on liquids still apply here. Eventually, the other passengers arrived and then the crew and the TSA and the local cops. My TSA screening went fine but my two fellow passengers (yep, only three people on this regional jet this morning) both had major challenges getting screened. Weird.

IAD is huge and there definitely can be quite a lot of walking depending on where your gate is. Getting to the different terminals involves airports shuttles/people mover system. It is pretty quick and straightforward once you get the hang of it. One thing I really appreciate is that TSA has generally been quick during my visits. For a large and busy airport, getting through security without much of a wait is definitely a plus! I also like how this airport has the plenty of food and drink options. They've got familiar spots like Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks as well as specialty restaurants featuring tacos and dumplings. For my work trips to the DC/Virginia area, IAD has become an airport that I'm pretty comfortable flying through.

His car is spotless and drives like you're not moving at all. (Although that's probably due to Anthony's driving haha.) It is notably one of the best cars I've been in, and comparatively top tier in car services. He offered me a drink, had a few snacks available, and even offered a movie for me to watch on an iPad. I had a same day round trip to/from Raegan. He was ahead of schedule on my 3am pickup, and waiting right at my gate as soon as I stepped out of arrival. I've used car services for years, and this was by far the best. If you need a ride, look no further.
