Last year, my box began to leak, with a lot of rainwater dripping down into and through my electrical panel. Initially, I caulked a few joints in the outside protective plastic covering, and that seemed to help. But within a few months, the leaking returned. I subsequently emailed Accent/Lou half a dozen times and called their office on multiple occasions. I received only a short email asking me my address. No followup or expression of concern. When I finally showed up in his office at the end of the day, Lou stopped by my house to check out the problem a few days later. Assuring me that everything was installed correctly, and according to code, I heard nothing further from him, though I tried repeatedly to get him to help me resolve the issue. I finally climbed 25 feet up to the peak of my house and wrapped flashing around the expansion joints (x4), which--for now--seems to have fixed my leak, albeit unprofessionally. I regret to say that Accent Electric does NOT stand behind their work, despite what was obviously a faulty installation or design flaw in the protective covering (weatherhead). This company is unresponsive and unprofessional in responding to customer concerns, and regrettably I will NOT contract them again.

After 18 months of trying to have the situation remedied we decided to cut our losses as a building at install an intercom on our own. Kevin Breen was professional, courteous, timely and his staff did a great job of the install. They took care of our property and left no messes for us to deal with. After the struggle to try and remedy the original intercom with the sponsor we were looking for a hassle-free, honest firm to do the job. Breen was all of that and more. Their price was fair compared to the other bids we received and we are hiring them again for another project this month.

His father was an electrician so he grew up learning the trade. He's also been through the NJ apprenticeship program that teaches the correct way to do things. A lot of contractors come from other countries, so they're learning on the job. You want to avoid those. Second, he does great work. Many contractors will show up late but he showed up on time. And you'll find that he's a guy who prides himself on the quality of his product. Third, his prices are fair. He's not a person who's going to rip you off.
