This is not a dropzone, it's a skydiving club. Quite a difference between skydiving club and a dz.
Anyway, the view: awesome.
You have a huge view of Rotterdam, rivers, the sea, green pastures. Super pretty.
The club is at the international airport so to get to the plane you walk past people carrying their luggage to fly on holiday. That's quite funny being suited in your rig, walking past travelers. Also, passport is required - just as if you were actually traveling. :)
When I arrived, I was greeted by several very friendly jumpers. The staff are warm and welcoming. The two jumpers who are, more or less, the instructors and safety people, Bob and Renee, were very detailed in showing me the landing area and giving me a rundown of procedures at this airport.
There are drozpones in Holland that would be a great spot for tandem students and are very freefly friendly / fun (Teuge, Texel) but, if you want to hit up Rotterdam for jumping this is a nice spot. read more
